NORMAN - With the 2019-20 men's basketball season quickly approaching, head coach
Lon Kruger continues to push the limits of access granted to University of Oklahoma students.
Kruger and the OU basketball program have announced their inaugural commitment week, creating special incentives for students to connect with the team and fill the BoomSquad student section at Lloyd Noble Center.
All students who attend one of three practices next week and sign in with the marketing staff will be invited to eat with the team and staff during their official pregame meal before OU's October 29 exhibition against Southeastern Oklahoma State.
The three practices during commitment week will also offer free food at the marketing table for the first 50 students. The practices will take place on Monday, Oct. 21 (free pizza), Tuesday, Oct. 22 (free Chick-fil-A) and Thursday, Oct. 24 (free Baked Bear cookies).Ā
All three sessions are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Monday and Tuesday's practice will be hosted in the practice gym while Thursday's will be on the main floor of the LNC. Students should enter the arena through the south tunnel between the two practice gyms.
Students who purchased a football season ticket automatically receive season tickets to men's basketball. Students without football tickets can purchase a basketball package at
SoonerSports.com/Students.
