NORMAN ? Every day for Oklahoma head football coach Lincoln Riley has been jam-packed since he took over for a retiring Bob Stoops on June 7. That streak will continue Thursday on the East Coast.
Riley made the 1,421-mile flight to Connecticut on Wednesday evening in advance of a full day of media opportunities on the ESPN campus in Bristol. The youngest head coach in the Football Bowl Subdivision, he is scheduled to make 16 stops during a six-hour 'car wash' circuit before returning to Norman.
Several of Riley's interviews will air live, including his first of the day on "Mike and Mike" at 8:10 a.m. CT on ESPN2 and ESPN Radio. Other live segments will occur at 10:30 a.m. on "First Take" on ESPN, 12:20 p.m. on "SportsCenter Coast to Coast" on ESPN, and 12:45 p.m. on "The Ryen Russillo Show" on ESPNEWS and ESPN Radio. Taped segments will air Thursday on "College Football Live" (ESPN2 at 2:30 p.m.), "The Paul Finebaum Show" (ESPN Radio between 2-6 p.m.) and "Freddie and Fitz" (ESPN Radio Thursday night). Another SportsCenter interview will air Friday at 6 p.m. on ESPNEWS.
Riley's Sooners, picked by media to win the Big 12 Conference for a third consecutive year, start training camp practices later this month and open the season Sept. 2 at home against UTEP.
