Eleven 2017 Signees Start Classes in Norman

NORMAN ? Nearly half of the verbal commitments that comprise Oklahoma's promising 2017 football recruiting class to date started classes in Norman on Tuesday as mid-year enrollees and will participate in spring practice. Seven are offensive players and four are defensive.

Ten of the 11 mid-year enrollees are rated as four-star recruits by at least one major ranking service, while the other is a consensus three-star prospect. Five of the players rank among the top 110 high school seniors nationally by at least one service.

Two of the enrollees are junior college transfers. Running back Marcelias Sutton will be a junior in 2017 while wide receiver Marquise Brown will be a sophomore. Both are considered top-20 juco players.

Of the 11 enrollees (bios below), three are from Oklahoma, two hail from California, North Carolina and Texas each, while one is from Florida and the other from Georgia.

Additional members of OU's 2017 recruiting class may sign letters of intent beginning on National Signing Day, which is Wednesday, Feb. 1.
