OH-Madison Drescher, So. Drescher matched her career-high for kills with 15 and made just one error as she hit an even .500 to mark her fourth double-digit kill match of the season.

NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Oklahoma volleyball team rolled past TCU 3-0 at McCasland Field House on Saturday afternoon to snap a three-game slide. The Sooners improved to 13-10 overall and 4-6 in the Big 12, while the Horned Frogs' losing streak hit six matches and they fell to 10-10 and 3-7.

The straight-sets victory came by scores of 25-23, 25-11 and 25-17. Like clockwork, it was the fourth year in a row that Oklahoma swept TCU in Norman; on the heels of the fourth straight year that the two sides went five sets in TCU.

Sophomore outside hitter Madison Drescher (Southlake, Texas) and Alyssa Enneking (League City, Texas) powered the OU attack with 15 and 13 kills, respectively. Drescher hit a match-high .500 with just one error, while Enneking hit .458 and added 13 digs for her fourth double-double of the season.

“She's been great. It's hard to get her out of the lineup,” head coach Santiago Restrepo said of Drescher's play. “Now that it is her time, she has blossomed and done a great job.”

Sophomore setter Audrey Alford (Norman, Okla.) dished out 33 assists and totaled 10 assists as she registered her sixth double-double of the season. Senior outside hitter Kimmy Gardiner (Grapevine, Texas) picked up her team-leading eighth double-double in an 11-kill, 11-dig effort.

In each of the first two sets, the Sooners forced the Horned Frogs to burn their timeouts early. Oklahoma held a 19-11 edge in the first before TCU came back to avoid a Sooner win twice on set-point. Drescher knocked down her eighth kill of the day early in the second to force a Horned Frog timeout with OU leading 11-4. The Sooners went on to have a 10-0 run on Enneking's serve to put the set out of reach.

“We talk about how we need to close out those close sets and be better in crunch time,” added Restrepo. “Closing out that first set gave us a lot of confidence that we could perform much better and not give away so many points.”

Oklahoma needed to overcome an early deficit in the third as Restrepo called a timeout down 3-0. Redshirt-sophomore libero Rachel Manriquez (Edmond, Okla.), who totaled 11 digs, recorded an ace that tied the third 8-8. The Sooners got the lead, 10-9, after a lengthy review on a TCU challenge was upheld.

For the Horned Frogs, Sarita Mikals led the attack with 13 kills on a .281 hitting percentage. Lamprini Konstantinidou registered 24 assists and Kayla Scheevel had 13 digs.

The Sooners are back in action on Saturday, November 5 against Kansas at 8 p.m. in Norman.
