Oklahoma at Iowa State

• No. 15 Oklahoma squandered a 21-point second-half lead in a 77-70 loss at No. 17 Iowa State. Ahead 48-28 with 14:55 remaining, the Sooners were outscored 49-22 the rest of the way in falling to 20-9 overall and 11-6 in the Big 12.
• OU held a 37-18 halftime lead but were outscored 59-33 in the second half. The 59 points were the most it has given up in a half this season (previous high was 51 in the first half at Kansas) and were the most scored by ISU in a half on the year. The Cyclones' 18 points in the opening 20 minutes were their fewest in a half this season.
• The Sooners posted a 12-2 advantage in points off turnovers in the first half but were outscored 19-4 in the second.
• Iowa State's Georges Niang (3) and Monte Morris (2) combined for five first-half points on 2-for-6 field goal shooting. In the second half, each went 7 for 11 from the field as Niang tallied 20 and Morris 16 in the period. The pair outscored OU 36-33 after halftime.
• The Big 12's leading scorer, OU junior Buddy Hield scored a game-high 26 points and added 5 rebounds and 2 assists. He was 4 for 9 from 3-point range and 8 for 9 at the foul line. He increased his career scoring total to 1,259 points to move into 21st place on OU's all-time list.
• Junior guard Isaiah Cousins went 5 for 10 from the field and 2 for 5 from behind the 3-point arc to finish with 12 points. Cousins has shot 50 percent or better from 3-point range in 15 of the 27 games he's attempted at least one trey this season.
• Sophomore point guard Jordan Woodard tallied 10 points, his 13th straight game with at least 8 points. He played 32 minutes without a turnover (had 2 assists).
• After registering 1 rebound against TCU on Saturday (his fewest as a Sooner), junior Ryan Spangler pulled down a team-high 11 boards tonight. He added 9 points on 4-for-7 shooting. Spangler has shot at least 50 percent in 49 of 62 games since transferring to OU.
• Sophomore guard Frank Booker tallied all 7 of OU's bench points. He was 0 for 5 from the field but made 7 of 8 free throw attempts (both career highs).
• OU can still finish in a tie for first place in the Big 12 with a West Virginia win at Kansas and a victory over the Jayhawks in Saturday's regular season finale in Norman (3 p.m. tip).
