Postgame Notes
Oklahoma at Baylor
Jan. 24, 2015

• No. 19 Oklahoma rallied from a 30-24 halftime deficit to take a 46-42 lead just past the midway point of the second half but was outscored 27-12 over the final 8:54 of a 69-58 loss at No. 21 Baylor.

• The Bears, who won for the 15th time in their last 16 home games, shot 50.0 percent from the field (highest mark allowed by OU this season) and 47.4 percent (9 for 19) from 3-point range.

• OU was held to a 38.7-percent field goal mark and made just 6 of its 24 attempts behind the arc (25.0 percent).

• Guards Jordan Woodard and Buddy Hield paced OU with 12 points apiece. Woodard, who played a game-high 37 minutes, has scored in double figures in each of the last three games after doing it once the previous five outings. The sophomore handed out 6 assists without a turnover. Over the last 12 games he has 57 assists and just 17 turnovers (3.4 ratio).

• The game marked the sixth consecutive and seventh in the last eight that Hield led OU (or tied for the team lead) in scoring. The 12-point effort snapped a string of four games in which he surpassed 20 points (averaged 26.3 in those four). Hield entered the game averaging 3.5 3-pointers in Big 12 play but was 0 for 7 tonight.

• Junior forward Ryan Spangler finished with 10 points on 5-for-8 shooting while posting team highs of 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. Spangler has led OU in rebounding in 12 of 19 games this year and has shot at least 50 percent from the floor in 40 of 52 games as a Sooner.

• Senior forward TaShawn Thomas recorded 10 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. He missed his first five field goal attempts before going 4 for 7 the rest of the game. Thomas' hometown of Killeen, Texas, is approximately a 45-minute drive to Waco.

• Junior guard Isaiah Cousins sustained a right wrist injury early in the game and played a season-low 18 minutes (finished with 8 points and 4 rebounds; was 2 for 4 from 3-point range). He did not play the final 14 minutes of the game. Postgame X-rays were negative and he is listed as day to day.

• Sophomore guard Frank Booker came off the bench to hit two 3-pointers on six attempts. It was the first time he hit multiple 3-pointers since Nov. 26 when he was 3 for 10 against UCLA. No other Sooner reserve scored tonight.

• Oklahoma rebounded to shoot 50 percent from the field in the second half after posting a 30.6-percent mark in the first.

• OU returns home to host Texas Tech on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. CT (televised by ESPNEWS).
