Oklahoma at Kansas

• In a tale of two halves, No. 19 Oklahoma overcame a 20-point first-half deficit (trailed by 19 at halftime; 51-32) at No. 11 Kansas to take a 4-point lead (69-65) with 4:56 remaining before falling 85-78 on the road. It was Kansas' 18th straight home win.
• OU outscored the Jayhawks 46-34 after halftime. Over the first 15 minutes of the second half, the Sooners outscored Kansas 37-14. KU ended the game on a 20-9 run.
• Kansas made its first eight 3-point attempts of the game and finished the first half 9 for 13 (.692). OU clamped down in the second half, holding KU to 1-for-6 3-point shooting. The Jayhawks shot .576 overall in the first half and .370 in the second (its .483 game figure was second best against OU this season.
• OU junior guard Buddy Hield scored a game-high 26 points and added five rebounds, two assists and two steals. It was his fifth game of at least 20 points in six outings to start Big 12 play. Over the last four games he is averaging 26.3 points (at least 21 in each).
• Fellow junior guard Isaiah Cousins was 7 for 15 from the field and 3 for 8 from 3-point range en route to an 18-point, 6-rebound, 3-assist, 2-steal night. It was his highest point total since scoring 19 against Baylor in the Big 12 opener.
• Junior forward Ryan Spangler registered his second straight double-double (sixth of the year) with 13 points and a team-high 10 boards while adding three assists. Spangler was 6 for 10 from the floor.
• Sophomore point guard Jordan Woodard reached double figures in scoring for the second straight game. He finished with 10 points and four assists while committing just one turnover in 38 minutes.
• Senior forward D.J. Bennett came off the bench for a productive night for the second straight year at Kansas. He had four points, five rebounds and a block in 13 minutes.
• Kansas became just the third team to score more points than it was averaging before playing OU. KU was averaging 71.5 points entering the contest.
• Kansas came into the game outboarding its opponents by 7.4 a contest and posted a 39-36 advantage tonight. OU outrebounded KU 21-17 after halftime.
• Oklahoma is back in action Saturday at 5 p.m. CT at No. 21 Baylor. It will be OU's sixth AP Top-25 opponent in seven games to start Big 12 play, ninth overall. OU hasn't played nine AP Top-25 teams since the 2007-08 season.
