• Oklahoma improved to 132-95 in the all-time series with Oklahoma State and to 83-26 in Norman.

• Tonight's game marked just the second between OU and OSU since 2005 in which both teams were ranked.

• Oklahoma State scored the first two points to take its only lead of the game. The Sooners scored the next 11 and led 41-20 at halftime on 60.9 percent shooting. OU led by as many as 23 points.

• OU's .558 field goal mark was its third best of the season. The Sooners held OSU to a .373 mark from the field and a .269 mark from 3-point range (7 for 26). The Cowboys didn't hit their first 3-pointer until 11:11 remained in the game (started 0 for 15).

• OU junior guard Buddy Hield made all 10 of his shots from the field and finished with a game-high 27 points, five rebounds, two steals and two assists. Hield entered the game shooting .519 from 3-point range at home this year and went 4 for 4 tonight (he is now shooting .552 at Lloyd Noble Center [32 for 58]).

• Hield has led OU in scoring in each of the last four games and in five of the last six. He has scored at least 20 points in four of five Big 12 games and is averaging 26.3 over the last three outings.

• Blanchard, Okla., product Ryan Spangler recorded his fifth double-double of the year with 11 points and 11 rebounds while adding three assists and a block. The junior forward has recorded double-digit rebound totals in all three of his Bedlam outings (averaging 13.7).

Jordan Woodard, from Arcadia, Okla., scored 13 points (tied for his second most this season) on 5-for-7 shooting (he entered the game shooting .311 from the field on the season). He also grabbed five rebounds and handed out a team-high four assists.

• Playing in his first Bedlam game, senior forward TaShawn Thomas finished with 10 points, five rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 22 minutes. Thomas was limited to seven first-half minutes due to foul trouble (no points and one rebound).

• The Oklahoma State duo of Le'Bryan Nash and Phil Forte entered the game as the Big 12's leading scorers (17.9 and 17.8 points per game, respectively). OU held Nash to 15 points on 6-for-15 shooting and Forte to 11 points on 3-for-11 shooting. Forte's 11 points were his second fewest of the season. He failed to make a 3-pointer for the first time this season (was 0 for 5). He had made a trey in 21 straight outings dating back to last year.
