Oklahoma vs. Baylor

• No. 21/23 Oklahoma shot a season-high .536 from the field and made a season-high 14 3-pointers (shot .483) in an 88-72 home win over Baylor. OU improved to 18-6 overall and 7-4 in the Big 12 (it is a half game behind second-place Texas). Baylor fell to 14-9 and 2-8.

• OU shot .640 from the field (16-for-25) and .611 from 3-point range (11-for-18) in the first half en route to a 43-35 advantage. The Sooners outscored Baylor 45-37 in the second half.

• The game marked OU's 16th of at least 80 points in 24 contests this season (reached 80 seven times in 32 games last year). The Sooners have reached 40 points in 32 of 48 halves this season (did it in 17 of 64 halves last year).

• OU posted a 35-30 rebounding advantage against a Baylor team that entered the game with a +7.5-per-game board advantage and that had been outrebounded just four times all season.

• Sophomore guard Isaiah Cousins scored a career-high 21 points and grabbed a game-high seven rebounds. He was 6-for-11 from the field, 3-for-4 from 3-point range and made all six of his free throw attempts. Cousins' top 12 career scoring efforts have come over the last 21 games.

• For the second time this season, sophomore guard Buddy Hield finished with 19 points against Baylor. He scored 17 points in the first half tonight after netting all 19 in the first meeting in the second half. Hield was 5-for-8 from 3-point range (5-for-6 in the first half). He has scored in double figures in all but one game this season and now leads the Big 12 with his 3.5 3-pointers per game in conference play (shooting .442). He has scored at least 15 points in nine of 11 league games.

• After scoring in single digits and shooting under .500 from the field in each of the previous three games, senior forward Cameron Clark finished with 16 points tonight on 7-for-8 field goal shooting.  He was 2-for-3 from 3-point range and is now 25-for-57 (.439) from deep on the year (was 1-for-1 last year). 

• Sophomore forward Ryan Spangler was held scoreless for the first time this season (attempted just two shots) but did contribute six rebounds and a career-high five assists.

• Senior forward Tyler Neal continued his strong play off the bench, finishing with nine points (3-for-6 3-point shooting) and four rebounds. He has scored at least nine points in three of the last four games and is averaging 10.5 during the four-game stretch.

• Oklahoma won for the fourth straight time against Baylor and is now 41-10 all-time in the series (20-4 in Norman). The Sooners are 16-2 against the Bears all-time at Lloyd Noble Center with an average scoring margin of +18.4 in the 18 meetings.

• OU entered the game shooting a stellar .425 from 3-point range at home this year. It upped that mark to .431 after tonight's performance.  Opponents are shooting .350 at Lloyd Noble Center.

• The teams combined for 16 turnovers tonight (eight each), the second fewest in an Oklahoma game this year (OU and Tulsa each committed seven turnovers on Dec. 14.

• Baylor sophomore center Isaiah Austin entered the game with eight 3-point makes on the season. He was 3-for-8 tonight. Five of his 11 makes on the year have come against OU.

• The Sooners shot .737 from the free throw line while Baylor shot .684. OU has shot better than its opponent in 10 of 11 conference games.

• Oklahoma is back home Wednesday when it hosts Texas Tech at 7 p.m. CT (televised by the Big 12 Network).
