GAME NOTES
• Oklahoma rushed for 384 yards, eclipsing the 300-yard mark for the second time this season, with the first coming at Iowa State (11/1) when OU recorded 510 rushing yards.
• The 384 rushing yards mark the 20th time the Sooners have gained 300+ rushing yards in a game during the Stoops' era and are 20-0 in those games.
• OU has now won 38 straight games when surpassing the 200-yard rushing mark. The Sooners are 66-1 under Stoops when hitting that plateau.
• After scoring 42 points today, OU is now 85-1 when scoring 40 or more points during the Stoops' era.
• With the 42-30 win, the Sooners are now 33-0 in the regular season since the start of the 2000 campaign coming off a loss in the previous game.
• Running back Samaje Perine (213) and quarterback Cody Thomas (103) eached rushed for over 100 yards, marking the second time this season multiple OU players have recorded 100-yard games on the ground in the same game.
• The Sooners are 24-1 in its last 25 games vs. unranked foes and have won their last 11 road games against unranked Big 12 foes.
• OU trailed the Red Raiders 14-7 at the half and then outscored Texas Tech 35-16 in the second half, marking Oklahoma's first comeback win on the road since defeating Iowa State 17-7 in Ames during the 2007 season.
SAMAJE PERINE
• Running back Samaje Perine rushed for 213 yards, marking the second time this season he has rushed for over 200 yards and he has rushed for over 100 yards in a game.
• Perine's 213 rushing yards give him 1,001 for the season, becoming the first OU running back to rush for over 1,000 yards since DeMarco Murray (1,214) did so in 2010.
• Perine became the 30th Sooner and just the fifth freshman in OU history to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season and the first since Adrian Peterson ran for 1,915 yards in 2004.
• Perine scored three rushing TDs and now has 14 rushing TDs on the season, which extends his Big 12 record for rushing TDs by a freshman.
• Perine's three TD performance marks the third time this season he has scored three or more rushing TDs in a game.
• Perine's 64-yard TD run marked the longest rush of his career.
CODY THOMAS
• Thomas became the 15th freshman to start at quarterback in program history, OU is 12-3 in freshman quarterbacks' debuts.
• Thomas completed his first TD pass of his career on a three-yard pass to Durron Neal.
• Thomas ran for a four-yard TD, marking the first rushing TD of his career.
• Thomas also recorded career highs in completions (10), passing yards (133), passing TDs (one) and completed a career-long pass of 45 yards to Durron Neal.
• Thomas had a career-day on the ground, recoring personal bests in carries (eight), rushing yards (103) and rushing TDs (one) and recorded a career-long 35-yard run.
K.J. YOUNG
• Wide receiver K.J. Young caught a career-long pass of 24 yards.
DURRON NEAL
• Wide receiver Durron Neal caught a three-yard TD pass for his third receiving TD of the season and his career.
• Wide receiver Durron Neal recorded a career-long reception of 45 yards.
AARON RIPKOWSKI
• Fullback Aaron Ripkowski recorded a one-yard TD run, marking his first career TD.
• Ripkowski received his first four carries of his career, gaining 11 yards with a TD as all his runs went for first downs.
ERIC STRIKER
• Linebacker Eric Striker recorded a sack and has a team-leading 6.5 on the season and 13.0 in his career.
• Striker's 13.0 sacks moves him past Brian Bosworth (12.0) and into a tie with Travian Smith for most sacks by an OU linebacker in a career.
DOMINIQUE ALEXANDER
• Linebacker Dominique Alexander forced his first fumble of the season and third of his career, while posting his first solo sack of the year.
JORDAN THOMAS
• Cornerback Jordan Thomas made the first start of his career, marking the first time a freshman cornerback has started a game since Stanvon Taylor started vs. Tulsa (9/14/13).
• Thomas recorded a career-high six tackles and added a pass breakup.
MICHAEL HUNNICUTT
• Kicker Michael Hunnicutt's six extra points give him 431 career points, moving him into eighth place past Kevin Kelly (425; Penn State) on the NCAA FBS all-time scoring list. He is fifth all-time among kickers.
