• No. 25/25 Oklahoma never trailed in a 74-65 road win over Texas Tech Saturday afternoon. OU improved to 16-4 overall and to 5-2 in Big 12 play.
• The Sooners are now 3-1 in Big 12 road play (went 3-6 last year). They improved to 7-2 away from home this season.
• Today's game extended OU's streak of single-digit outcomes to eight (5-3 record).
• The Sooners led by as many as 14 points in the first half before settling for a 38-29 halftime lead. They led by as many as 13 in the second half. Tech cut it to four twice after halftime, only to see Buddy Hield answer with a 3-pointer.
• Hield was 7-for-11 from the field and 4-for-7 from 3-point range, finishing with a game-high 18 points. The sophomore guard has led OU in scoring in five of its seven Big 12 games and has netted at least 16 points in six of them. Hield has scored in double figures 19 times in 20 outings (did it seven times last season).
• Senior forward Cameron Clark, who was 10-for-12 from the field in two games last year against Texas Tech, was 8-for-12 today en route to a 17-point day. He entered the game ranked fifth in the Big 12 in scoring (17.0 average).
• Freshman point guard Jordan Woodard had his highest scoring output in eight games, finishing with 15 points with the help of 5-for-9 shooting. Woodard made a career-high three 3-pointers on three attempts while adding a game-high eight assists (nobody else from either team had more than two).
• Sophomore forward Ryan Spangler finished with seven points and 10 rebounds, his 11th game of double-digit boards (last year's entire roster produced seven double-digit rebounding performances). Spangler was held to 2-for-6 field goal shooting, the first time this year he shot under 50 percent.
• OU tied a season low with seven turnovers. They outscored Texas Tech 14-3 off turnovers (the Red Raiders committed 11).
• The Sooners shot 50.0 percent from the field in each half. It was their first 50-percent shooting game in 13 outings.
• OU returns home to host No. 11/12 Oklahoma State at 8 p.m. CT. The Bedlam game will be televised by ESPN.
