• Behind most of the night, No. 25 Oklahoma took a 62-56 lead but was outscored 16-4 the final 5:17 in a 72-66 loss at Kansas State.

• K-State entered the game averaging 5.5 3-pointers per contest and shooting .296 from behind the arc but was 11-for-21 on the night (.524).  The Wildcats hit 3-pointers on five consecutive possessions in the first half.

• OU's .333 field goal percentage was a season low (it has shot under 40 percent only one other time).

• The Sooners lost despite outscoring K-State 27-8 off turnovers (the Wildcats committed 13 turnovers to OU's nine) and 19-5 in second-chance points. OU, which trailed 39-38 at halftime, also held KSU to .286 field goal shooting in the second half.

• Sophomore forward Ryan Spangler finished with game highs of 21 points and 14 rebounds (nine offensive) for his second straight double-double and Big 12-leading seventh of the year. He has nine games of at least 10 rebounds this season after last year's entire OU roster produced seven such individual performances.

• Spangler was 6-for-9 from the field and has shot 50 percent or better in all 17 games this season.  He also went 9-for-11 from the free throw line, actually dropping his Big 12 mark to .870 (20-for-23).  He shot .540 from the foul line in pre-conference play.

• Senior forward Cameron Clark, the Big 12's leading scorer entering the game (18.3 ppg), was held to two points on 1-for-9 shooting.

• Sophomore guard Buddy Hield scored all 12 of his points in the first half and finished with a team-high five assists.  He has scored in double figures in 16 of 17 games (did it seven times last season).

• Freshman guard Frank Booker came off the bench to hit three 3-pointers on six attempts and finish with nine points.  He was 3-for-4 from deep in the first half.  Booker has scored at least nine points in four of the last six games.

• Oklahoma is in action again Saturday at 1 p.m. CT when it plays at No. 12/13 Baylor (televised by ESPN).
