With the 2013 season fast approaching, SoonerSports.com will highlight each of the players on the 2013 squad. Each post will help fans get to know the Sooners better before watching them on the field this fall.

The seventh edition of the Countdown features midfielder Elise Romano of Basking Ridge, N.J., and Madison Saliba.

2. Biggest Compliment given ... While playing against a Brazilian team, I was told by their coach that I play like a Brazilian.

3. Biggest influence on your life ... My parents, because they have been so supportive toward anything I do.

4. Strengths ... Technical ability and knowledge of the game.

5. Weaknesses ... Sometimes I try to do too much.

My grandmothers.

Skiing and photography.

If I didn't play soccer I would like to be a freestyle skier.

Elise Romano Bio Brief
A transfer from Colorado, Romano was a two-time all-conference and all-county selection for Ridge H.S. She led Ridge to three conference championships and a pair of state finals appearances. In addition, Romano was a member of the New Jersey Olympic Development Program for five years, helping her team earn the ODP National Championship in 2010.
