With the 2013 season fast approaching, SoonerSports.com will highlight each of the players on the 2013 squad. Each post will help fans get to know the Sooners better before watching them on the field this fall.

The seventh edition of the Countdown features defender Madison Smith from Edmond, Okla., and Kassidie Stade.

2. Biggest Compliment given ... I don't know about this one. My friends tell me I'm pretty easy-going, I like that compliment!

3. Biggest influence on your life ... God. He's my savior!

4. Strengths ... Hardworking, driven, self-motivated

5. Weaknesses ... Stubborn, ditzy, easily distracted

6. Favorite Candy ... I love anything with a mass quantity of sugar

My family!

Fishing.

Ashton Kutcher, Ryan Gosling and Beyoncé.

Ed Sheeran's whole album.

13. Tell us something that we don't know about you?
I used to want to be a race car driver when I was a little kid.

14. Describe yourself in five words ... Goofy, outgoing, competitive, hardworking, happy.

15. In five years, I will be ... hopefully graduated and at least engaged, and probably paying bills. You know, grown-up stuff.

Madison Smith Bio Brief
Smith appeared in nine games as a freshman for OU and will look to increase her role on the field this season. A native Oklahoman, Smith led Deer Creek H.S. to a state title as a senior with 30 goals and 12 assists. She was named All-City Soccer Player of the Year in 2012 by The Oklahoman.
