The countdown to the 2013 soccer season continues today, with only 35 days left until the Sooners open the year on the road at Tennessee on August 23. The full schedule is available on the soccer page at SoonerSports.com

With the 2013 season fast approaching, SoonerSports.com will highlight each of the players on the 2013 squad. Each post will help fans get to know the Sooners better before watching them on the field this fall.

The fourth edition of the Countdown features goalkeeper Miranda Larkin of Rockwall, Texas, and Madison Kinzer.

1. Nickname ... Randi or Mir, but most people call me Miranda.

2. Biggest Compliment given ... I would take a compliment for personality over talent any day.

3. Biggest influence on your life ... I think a lot of people have had an impact on my life, and I can't quite pinpoint one.

4. Strengths ... I am friendly and I like to help people. I have a good work ethic, I'm self-motivated and I'm a good leader. I am also very enthusiastic and passionate on and off the field.

5. Weaknesses ... I can be too nice sometimes, although I feel this is rewarding in the long run. I can be a bit too talkative as well.

6. Favorite Candy ... Almond Joy

7. Do you have any heroes?
My heroes are my Dad and Mom.

8. Do you have any hobbies, if so, please list them ...
I love art. I enjoy making an observing it.

9. Name three people (famous, relatives, friends) you would invite to dinner?
My Nana (she was the most spiritual little woman I had ever met. I learned so much from being her granddaughter); Hope Solo (she's known as the No. 1 women's goalkeeper in the world. I want to learn from someone with her experience); James Franco (he's not letting one second of his life go to waste, whether it's writing books, acting, directing, making art or being a professor).

10. What is the last song downloaded on your IPod?
"Dead Sea," The Lumineers

11. Favorite Movie ..."Rocky," "Rocky II," "Rocky III," "Rocky IV," "Rocky V," "Rocky Balboa"!!

12. Favorite TV show ...Grey's Anatomy

13. Tell us something that we don't know about you?
I love kids and plan to find an occupation where I can work with children every day. I also enjoy volunteering and hope to do so while being a student-athlete at OU.

14. Describe yourself in five words ... Determined, passionate, confident, artistic, kind.

15. In five years, I will be ... graduated from the University of Oklahoma, and as far as everything else...time will tell! Boomer Sooner!

Miranda Larkin Bio Brief:
Larkin played club soccer with the Dallas Sting team that won two U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships; in addition, she was awarded the Golden Glove award for best goalkeeper at the national championship in 2010. An ESPN High School Top 150 recruit, she was also a Top Drawer Soccer four star athlete and the No. 20 player in Texas.

What teams do you support?
I like to support my hometown (Dallas) teams in all sports. I enjoy watching anything!

What is your best highlight moment? Your dream highlight moment?
I love the moments after winning the game in PKs, when you have so much adrenaline pumping. It's moments like those that you play for. Even standing up after a big save that you know should have been a goal, with the ball in your hand--best feeling ever.
