NORMAN, Okla . -- The 22nd-ranked University of Oklahoma volleyball team (11-3) continued its winning streak in the Oklahoma Invitational with a sweep of Arkansas-Little Rock (-19, -16, -18) Friday night.
Senior Brianne Barker had her eighth double-double of the season, registering 41 assists and 11 digs. She also contributed two service aces.
Sophomore Sallie McLaurin led the team with 13 kills and a .812 hitting percentage, followed by freshman Tara Dunn with 11 kills. Dunn also added one service ace and hit .550. Neither McLaurin or Dunn committed an attack error on the evening.
Junior Maria Fernanda led the team with 14 digs. McLaurin and senior Suzy Boulavsky contributed three block assists each. Boulavsky also added 10 kills and hit .444 on the night.
Senior Carlee Roethlisberger and sophomore Keila Rodriguez each added two block assists. Barker, Roethlisberger, McLaurin and Rodriguez contributed one block solo each for four solo blocks, one shy of the team match record set last season.
The Sooners hit a .455 clip as a team and held the Trojans to a .176 hitting percentage.
Marleen de Zoete led Arkansas Little-Rock with 20 assists. Edina Begic contributed nine kills and Emily Pepperman had nine digs.
The Sooners close out the Oklahoma Invitational Saturday. They play Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 12 p.m. CT and then face off against the Boise State Broncos at 7 p.m. CT. GameTracker and a webcast for both matches are available at SoonerSports.com.
