NORMAN, Okla. -- The Sooner soccer program and OU Athletics Marketing office are pleased to announce several exciting promotions for the 2011 season.
The regular season
kicks off at home on Friday, Aug. 19 against UAB with
Fan Appreciation Day. All fans will receive free admission and the first 250 people through the gates will get a free "Thanks for Being a Sooner Fan" fan. A free ice cream social will be held for all season ticket holders before the game.
Season tickets for the 2011 soccer season are available for
purchase online or by calling (405) 325-2424 or toll-free (800) 456-GoOU. All 2011 season ticket holders will receive a special gift -- a Sooner Soccer stadium seat cushion -- as a thank you for your support.
OU's second home weekend is highlighted by
Back to School Night on Friday, Aug. 28 vs. SMU. The first 250 fans in attendance will receive a free tote bag, and the first 250 OU students will receive a free T-shirt. The game will also feature a special halftime performance by the Pride of Oklahoma.
Oklahoma will host
Military Appreciation Night for its Bedlam contest vs. Oklahoma State on Friday, Sept. 30. The 77th Army Band of Fort Sill will perform the national anthem.
When OU hosts Texas Tech on Sunday, Oct. 2,
kids in the 8th grade and younger will have the opportunity to compete with their youth teams for the Sooner Soccer World Cup.
