NORMAN, Okla. - The 15th-ranked University of Oklahoma softball team sent the 2011 senior class out in style Sunday afternoon as the Sooners (37-16, 10-8 Big 12) downed Iowa State 4-1 in the final game of the season at the OU Softball Complex.

Haley Nix and Dani Dobbs combined for a 4-for-6 showing with each scoring one run. It was Nix's two-run home run in the fourth that gave Oklahoma the lead for good.

Keilani Ricketts went the distance for the 28th time this year. Ricketts (25-12) allowed one unearned run on two hits and three walks. She struck out 14 to move into second place on the Oklahoma career strikeouts list (735).

Sara Davison reached with a one-out walk in the third for the Cyclones and came around to score following OU's only defensive miscue of the day. Oklahoma answered back in the bottom half of the fourth inning.

Jessica Shults reached on a leadoff single and runner Javen Henson came around to score following a single by Ricketts and a throwing error.

Nix then blasted her eighth long ball of the year to put the Sooners on top. Dobbs then doubled, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on a single by Katie Norris to give OU a 4-1 lead.

Nix led the Sooner offense with a perfect 3-for-3 showing at the plate. Her only two RBI on the day came on the home run. Dobbs went 1-for-3, while Shults ended the game 2-for-3. Chana'e Jones drew a walk in the final home game of her career.

Iowa State starter Rachel Zabriskie (14-16) pitched 3.0 innings allowing four earned runs on six hits and one walk. Breeanna Holliday pitched the final 3.0 innings for the Cyclones, allowing five hits and one walk.
