NORMAN, Okla. - Nicole Nelson, who just finished her fourth season as Oklahoma's Head Women's Soccer Coach, is resigning that position.  The announcement was made today.

"After much contemplation, I have determined it is in the best interest of the program to seek new leadership," Nelson said.  "I appreciate the experience I've had at OU and am confident that the future is bright."

OU Vice President and Athletics Director Joe Castiglione thanked Nelson for her work in the program.

"We recognize that Nicole has dedicated herself to OU women's soccer and we're grateful for all her efforts on our behalf," he said.  "We wish her success as she moves forward."
