OU No. 1 in Coaches, No. 3 in AP, Harris

NORMAN, Okla. -- Following its 55-17 blowout win over Texas, Oklahoma remained at No. 1 in the Coaches Poll and, for the second straight week, was slated at No. 3 behind LSU and Alabama in the latest AP Poll.
 
The Sooners also came in at No. 3 in the season's first Harris Poll released Sunday. Both the Coaches Poll and the Harris Poll are factored into the BCS formula. The initial BCS standings for the 2011 season will be released next Sunday.
 
OU garnered 32 first-place votes from the coaches, five up from its total a week ago. LSU jumped ahead of Alabama with 15 first-place votes, while the Crimson Tide have 15 and Wisconsin one. Ranked opponents on OU's upcoming schedule included Oklahoma State (No. 7), Kansas State (No. 18), Texas A&M (No. 23) and Baylor (No. 24). Texas dropped to No. 21 while Texas Tech received votes.
 
In the AP, upcoming ranked opponents included No. 6 Oklahoma State, No. 17 Kansas State, No. 20 Baylor and No. 21 Texas A&M. Texas fell to No. 22 while Texas Tech received votes.
 
Oklahoma travels to Lawrence, Kan., to take on the Jayhawks Saturday, Oct. 15. The game kicks off at 8:15 p.m. (CT) and will be televised on ESPN2.
