MONDAY'S GAME BASICS
Oklahoma (7-6) completes its regular season non-conference schedule when it hosts Maryland Eastern Shore (3-9) on Monday at 7 p.m. CST inside Lloyd Noble Center.  The Sooners have won four of their last five games while the Hawks have lost five of their last six.  Monday's contest will air on the Sooner Radio Network (KOKC AM 1520 in Oklahoma City; KTBZ AM 1430 in Tulsa) with Bob Barry Sr. and Mike Houck announcing.  The game will be televised by the Sooner Sports Network (KWTV Ch. 9 in Oklahoma City; Cox Ch. 74 in Tulsa; ESPN Full Court) with Bob Carpenter and Billy Tubbs calling the action.

NOTEWORTHY
• Oklahoma has won 26 straight non-conference home games and 84 of its last 86.
• The Sooners are 7-0 at home this year and 0-6 away from Norman.
• After averaging 5.5 points and 4.3 rebounds in OU's first eight games (he shot .450 from the field), freshman Cameron Clark is averaging team highs of 13.6 points and 5.6 boards over the last five outings (shooting .551 from the field).  Clark has played 189 out of a possible 200 minutes the last five games (four OU wins), including all 40 minutes against Oral Roberts and Cincinnati.
• Sophomore guard Steven Pledger is averaging a team-high 14.6 points in OU's wins (all at home).  He has made 19 3-pointers (2.7 average) and is shooting .413 from behind the arc in those contests.
• Oklahoma has outscored opponents 130-105 in points off turnovers in its seven wins, but has been outscored 119-65 in the category in its six defeats.
• In their seven wins, the Sooners are shooting .491 from the field and .438 from 3-point range (8.6 makes).  In their six losses, they're shooting .442 from the field and .295 from behind the arc (5.5 makes).
• Seven different Sooners have led the team in scoring in their 13 games.  OU's had a different leading scorer in each of the last four contests.
• Eight of OU's top nine scorers are in their first or second year of Division I basketball.  Five of the nine are in their first year.

SOONER UPDATE
• After a five-game losing streak that had OU at 3-5 on the year, the Sooners have won four of their last five contests.  In those four wins, the Sooners shot .517 from the field and .486 from 3-point range.  They also posted a +3.0 turnover margin in those victories.
• OU has shot 46 percent or better from the field in six of its last seven games.  It has shot under 44 percent just twice this year.
• The Sooners rank third in the Big 12 with their 7.2 3-pointers per game.  In the team's seven wins, OU is averaging 8.6 treys.
• Turnovers have been an issue for the Sooners, as they average 14.3 per game.  They've committed at least 10 turnovers in all but one outing and rank last in the Big 12 in turnover margin (-1.1).  Opponents are averaging 17.2 points off turnovers per game. 
• Sophomore forward Andrew Fitzgerald has shot .500 or better from the field in nine of 13 games and owns a .526 season percentage to rank fifth in the Big 12.  He leads the team with his 13.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.   His free throw percentage (.722) is up significantly from last year (.638) and he is shooting .767 (23-for-30) from the foul line over the last seven games.
• A career .332 3-point shooter entering the year, senior guard Cade Davis is shooting .405 from behind the arc this season (ranks eighth in the Big 12) and is averaging 2.5 treys per game (ranks fourth).  Going back to last year, he has made 63 3-pointers over his last 25 games.  Davis ranks ninth on OU's career 3-point field goals list with 149 and needs four to move into eighth place.
• Davis is shooting .429 from 3-point distance over the last 10 outings (30-for-70).  If you exclude an 0-for-5 effort against Cincinnati on Dec. 18 in Oklahoma City, he is shooting .462 from long range since Nov. 18.
• In OU's seven wins (all at home), sophomore guard Steven Pledger has scored at least 13 points five times and is shooting .413 from 3-point range (19-for-46) and .826 from the free throw line (19-for-23).  In six games away from home (all losses), Pledger has been held to single digits four times and is shooting .222 from deep (6-for-27).
• Freshman Cameron Clark has scored in double figures in three of the last five games.  He recorded consecutive career highs of 13 points Dec. 9 against Gardner-Webb and 17 points Dec. 11 versus Oral Roberts, and topped those performances with a 26-point effort Thursday against Central Arkansas.  Clark is shooting .571 from the field and .476 from 3-point range in OU's seven wins. 
• Sophomore point guard Carl Blair has rebounded nicely from a tough start to the year by averaging 9.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.4 assists over the last five games.  He recorded 15 assists over his first six games but has 27 over the last five.  He is also shooting .531 from the field on the year and ranks eighth in the Big 12 with his 3.8 assists per outing.

PREVIEWING MARYLAND EASTERN SHORE
• A member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, Maryland Eastern Shore enters Monday's game with a 3-9 record and is 1-7 on the road.  The Hawks have posted wins over Kean University (86-68), Navy (89-81 in overtime on the road) and Washington College (102-86).  They are coming off a 92-65 loss at Colorado last Wednesday, a game in which the Buffaloes shot .596 from the field.
• UMES is shooting .413 from the field, .321 from 3-point range (5.8 makes per game) and .694 from the free throw line (14.8 makes per game).  Opponents are shooting .506 from the field and .397 from behind the arc (8.0 makes per outing).
• Junior guards Hillary Haley and Dishawn Bradshaw are the lone Hawks averaging double figures in scoring.  Haley averages 14.3 points and 4.4 rebounds per game and leads the squad with his 46 free throw makes and .826 free throw percentage.  He finished with 32 points and 10 rebounds in the win at Navy.  Bradshaw, who has twice topped the 20-point mark, supplies 12.9 points and 2.2 assists per outing.  He's made a team-high 25 treys and is shooting .368 from behind the arc.
• Senior guard Kevin White provides 9.2 points and a team-high 4.5 assists per game.  Junior forward Tyler Hines is averaging 8.2 points and a team-leading 6.5 rebounds a contest.
Frankie Allen is in his third year as Maryland Eastern Shore's head coach and owns a 21-53 record.  He's in his 21st year overall and owns a 244-346 overall mark.

OU-MARYLAND EASTERN SHORE SERIES HISTORY
Oklahoma holds a 2-0 series lead against Maryland Eastern Shore.  Last year in Norman (Jan. 4), Cade Davis scored the game's first seven points to help OU to an 18-4 lead and finished with a game-high 19 points in an 88-54 win.  The Sooners held the Hawks to .300 field goal shooting and a .278 3-point mark.  OU forced 18 turnovers while committing just seven, and outscored UMES 22-3 in points off turnovers.  Tony Crocker (14 points and 12 rebounds) recorded a double-double for the Sooners.  Sean Berry paced the Hawks with 16 points and 14 rebounds while Kevin White and Hillary Haley added 14 and 13 points, respectively.

In the 2008-09 season in Norman, Blake Griffin's 20 points, 16 rebounds and four blocked shots (played just 22 minutes) carried the Sooners to a 100-64 win.  OU head coach Jeff Capel missed the game due to a stomach virus (he was hospitalized).  Maryland Eastern Shore shot just .311 from the field and committed 19 turnovers.  Neal Pitt led the Hawks with 18 points.

THURSDAY'S CENTRAL ARKANSAS RECAP
• OU shot a Jeff Capel-era-best .616 from the field in a 76-73 home win over Central Arkansas on Thursday.  The Sooners also shot .533 from 3-point range (8-for-15) for their second best effort from long distance on the year.
• Central Arkansas' .542 field goal figure was the second best against OU this year.  The Bears' 12 3-pointers were an OU opponent high for the season (they shot .545 from deep).
• Freshman guard Cameron Clark was 9-for-13 from the field and scored a career-high 26 points, most by a Sooner this year.  Clark, who played 39 minutes, added a team-high seven rebounds, two assists and a steal without a turnover.  He made a career-high four treys on six attempts (he entered game 6-for-22 on the year from long range) and drained all four of his free throw attempts.
• Junior forward C.J. Washington came off the bench to record career highs in points (nine) and rebounds (six).  He was 4-for-6 from the field and added a blocked shot in 16 minutes (his second most playing time of the year).
• Sophomore forward Andrew Fitzgerald finished with 11 points on 5-for-9 shooting.  It was the 10th time in 13 games and seventh in the last eight he scored in double figures.
• The Sooners made 12 of their first 14 field goal attempts on the night and finished the first half 19-for-25 (.760) from the field and 5-for-7 (.714) from 3-point distance.  They shot .458 from the field and .375 (3-for-8) from long range in the second half.
• Central Arkansas junior Mark Rutledge hit a half-court buzzer-beater to cut OU's lead at halftime to seven (44-37).

HOME IS WHERE THE "W" IS
Oklahoma has dominated home non-conference games over the last decade, winning 84 of its last 86 non-league contests inside Lloyd Noble Center going back to Jan. 3, 2000 (good for a .977 winning percentage).  Included was a streak of 49 non-conference home victories that was snapped by Villanova on Dec. 6, 2006.  The current win string stands at 26 games.

OU opens Big 12 Conference play when it hosts Texas A&M on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT.  The game will be televised by the Big 12 Network.
