Beleleu Set for UVa Invitational Finals

CHARLOTTESVILLE – Oklahoma senior Ionut Beleleu advanced to the A-2 UVa Ranked Plus one finals and will face Virginia's 13th-ranked Sanam Singh Sunday at 11 a.m.

Beleleu started Saturday defeating Cornel's Andy Gouthier 7-5, 6-1. The senior from Romania was then pitted against Virginia Tech's Luka Somen. Beleleu defeated the nations 52nd-ranked singles player in three sets, 6-1, 6-7, 6-3.  

OU's Tsvetan Mihov was the other Sooner participant in the invitational. Mihov fell to UNC's 30th-ranked Jose Hernandez 6-1, 6-2, in second round action, but will play in the fifth place bracket finals, Sunday at 9:30 a.m., against Wake Forest's Ioin Atkinson (No. 68).
