STILLWATER, Okla. -- Whitney Palmer scored her second goal of the spring and helped the Sooner soccer team stay undefeated in a 1-1 tie against Tulsa on Saturday.
Palmer also scored in the Sooners' 1-0 win over Memphis back on Feb. 20. Maryland transfer Caitlin Mooney provided the assist on Saturday.
While Palmer has provided the offense, the OU defense has been solid in three games thus far. Saturday's goal was the first allowed in the spring as OU fielded just 11 players.
"It was a good day developmentally for some of young players," said OU Head Coach Nicole Nelson. "We had very low numbers and that allows everyone to play a lot of minutes, and that game experience is hard to replicate.
"I was disappointed that we lost our focus in the second half because of frustration and it affected our work rate. However, it is great to see this group continue to take huge strides forward overall."
The Sooners will have three weeks before their next game, the first of two home games on the spring slate. On March 27, OU will host UCO at 5 p.m. at the OU Soccer Complex.
