NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Danielle Robinson scored 18 points and No. 11 Oklahoma shrugged off some first-half shooting woes to defeat Gardner-Webb 84-75 on Saturday.

The Sooners (5-0) shot 32.3 percent in the first half but 59 percent in the second to win their second game of the Basketball Travelers Invitational.

"I thought one of the very important parts for us was that Gardner-Webb did a very good job of trying to keep the game at a pace they felt comfortable with and I felt they won that battle," OU head coach Sherri Coale said. "That's a good lesson for us to learn. We have to assert our own pace and we have to demand that the game go our way.

Joanna McFarland had 15 points and a game-high seven rebounds for Oklahoma. Freshman Aaryn Ellenberg also scored 15 points, her fifth straight game in double figures.

The Sooners outrebounded Gardner-Webb 40-31 and still led by nine points at halftime despite their poor shooting.

"It will help us grow, there is no doubt about that."

Dominique Hudson led all scorers with 25 points for Gardner-Webb (2-3). Twin sister Monique Hudson added 12 points and Brianna Dillard scored 17.

"I've always been impressed with the job Sherri's (Coale) done with this program here," Gardner-Webb head coach Rick Reeves said. "They are well-coached, good kids, they play hard and physical. We tell our kids you are either first class or no class and Oklahoma is first class all the way."
