• Oklahoma fell behind 12-0 and 16-2 and was unable to bounce back in a 74-56 loss to Virginia in the second round of the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational. The Sooners fell to 3-2 on the year with the defeat.

• OU committed 17 turnovers to Virginia's nine. The Cavaliers outscored the Sooners 24-4 in points off turnovers.

• Virginia also outscored Oklahoma by seven at the free throw line. The Cavs made 17 free throws on 27 attempts while OU went 10-for-14.

• Trailing 40-25 at the half, the Sooners used an 8-1 run to close the margin to eight (41-33) with 16:43 remaining. Virginia quickly responded with a 9-0 spurt to go back up by 17.

• Freshman forward Tyler Neal, who did not play yesterday against Kentucky, racked up career highs of 16 points and six rebounds to pace the Sooners in both categories. He played a career-high 24 minutes, including the entire second half. Neal was 4-for-6 from the field, 2-for-4 from 3-point range and 6-for-6 at the free throw line.

• Senior guard Cade Davis had 12 of OU's 25 points at halftime and finished with 15. He is averaging 19.7 points over the last three contests. He was 3-for-7 from 3-point range on the day and is shooting .424 from deep on the year.

• Sophomore forward Andrew Fitzgerald battled early foul trouble and finished with nine points on 3-for-4 field goal shooting. He played just 19 minutes.

• Junior forward C.J. Washington contributed four points, five rebounds and a game-high three blocked shots.

• Freshman guard Cameron Clark entered the game without a turnover in 116 minutes of action this season. He committed three turnovers today and was held scoreless.

• Junior forward Nick Thompson, who was averaging 31.3 minutes per contest on the year, did not score in his nine minutes today.

• Oklahoma will play Chaminade (3-2) on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. CT in a game televised by ESPNU.
