Postgame Notes

• Tonight's 82-52 win marked OU's largest margin of victory since beating Maryland Eastern Shore 88-54 last January. The Sooners' 82 points are the most they've scored this season, while the 52 points surrendered were their fewest.

• After shooting .328 from the field Monday against North Carolina Central, OU came alive with a season-high .583 performance tonight (its best since shooting .604 against Nicholls State last November – a span of 28 games).

• The Sooners held the Tigers to an opponent season-low .327 field percentage. OU's three foes have combined to shoot .368 from the floor.

• Oklahoma shot .542 (13-for-24) from 3-point range, its best mark since shooting .565 (13-for-23) against Nicholls State last season. Three nights ago, the Sooners were 4-for-23 from 3-point distance (.174).

• OU was led by Steven Pledger's career-high-tying 23 points. The sophomore was 8-for-16 from the field. He added four rebounds and four assists in 34 minutes. Pledger has scored in double figures in all three games this season, averaging a team-high 16.7.

• Senior Cade Davis tied a career high with six 3-pointers on 10 attempts. Davis finished with 21 points in 33 minutes.

• The Sooners went 13-for-16 (.813) from the free throw line tonight to improve their Big 12-best season mark to .806. OU is 35-for-39 (.897) from the line after halftime this season.

• Freshman Tyler Neal was perfect in his eight minutes off the bench. The Oklahoma City product made all three of his shots from the field (including a 3-pointer) and both of his free throw attempts.

• Despite only seeing nine minutes of action, sophomore Carl Blair led OU with five assists in his first appearance in a Sooner uniform. OU recorded a season-high 20 assists on its 28 field goals.

• Nick Thompson collected a team-high nine rebounds in his 27 minutes of action. The junior averages a team-leading nine boards a game.

• Junior C.J. Washington pulled down a season-high five rebounds (including two on the offensive end) and made all four of his free throw attempts in a season-high 13 minutes.

• With the victory, Oklahoma improved to 4-0 all-time against Texas Southern (3-0 in Norman). OU has dominated home non-conference games over the last decade, winning 80 of its last 82 non-league contests inside Lloyd Noble Center going back to Jan. 3, 2000 (good for a .976 winning percentage).
