• Oklahoma improved to 31-1 in its last 32 home openers with a 77-57 victory over Coppin State on Friday at Lloyd Noble Center.
• OU, which shot 51.0 percent from the field, is now 14-0 in its series with Coppin State and has beaten the Eagles by an average of 22.1 points. The Sooners improved to 13-0 against CSU in Norman.
• The Sooners have won 24 of their last 26 season-opening games and have won 78 of their last 80 non-conference contests at Lloyd Noble Center.
• Andrew Fitzgerald recorded a career-high 22 points, topping his previous best of 16 against No. 1 Kansas on Feb. 22, 2010. The sophomore also tied his career high of six boards. Fitzgerald was 8-for-13 from the field in 33 minutes.
• Freshman Cameron Clark recorded a double-double in his collegiate debut with 11 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. He also made three of his four 3-point tries.
• Sophomore Steven Pledger, who netted 11 of his 13 points in the first half, recorded a career- high six assists in 33 minutes of action.
• Oklahoma's newcomers scored 44 percent of OU's points (34 of 77), including 16 of the team's 36 first-half points.
• Calvin Newell led OU's newcomers with 13 points. The freshman, who was 5-for-9 from the field, also boasted a pair of steals in his 21 minutes on the court.
• Junior Nick Thompson, a 6-9 forward, made his debut in a Sooner uniform and handed out a game-high seven assists. The junior college transfer added eight points and six boards in 32 minutes.
• Senior Cade Davis made all six of his free throw attempts. As a team, the Sooners shot 75 percent (18-24) from the stripe (they were 15-for-17 in the second half).
• The Sooners' 20-point win was their largest margin of victory since downing Maryland Eastern Shore 88-54 last January.
• Oklahoma continued its dominance over teams from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. The Sooners are 24-0 against MEAC teams. OU will square off against two more teams from the MEAC this season (North Carolina Central on Monday and Maryland Eastern Shore on Jan. 13).
