Pledge for a Cure Raises Funds

NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Oklahoma volleyball team's Pledge for a Cure event raised a total of $10,556.54 for the Jimmy Everest Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at the Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center.

The event was held in honor of head volleyball coach Santiago Restrepo's son, Javier, who passed away on July 31, 2009, after a three-year battle with leukemia.
 
The Sooner Athletics family extends a special thank you to those who donated. The contributions are greatly appreciated.
