NORMAN, Okla.-- The Sooners (5-2-1) will host USC (4-3), the 2007 National Champions, on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 1 p.m. The game is the first meeting between OU and the Trojans.

USC has won four out of the last five games since starting the year with a pair of losses to Texas A&M and St. Johns. The Trojans topped Gonzaga and Michigan last weekend and most recently won 1-0 at Oklahoma State on Friday.

Southern California finished third in the Pac 10 in 2008, a year removed from the program's first national title. The Trojans were picked third again in 2009 as they return 15 letterwinners and seven starters from last season's 16-5-2 club (5-3-1, Pac 10). Junior midfielder Alyssa Davila leads USC with three goals and seven points.

Promotions
On Sunday, OU will celebrate Dads and Daughters Day and the end of Sooner Nation Weekend. The first 250 dads and daughters will receive magnetic photo frame. Students who attend Sunday's game will receive double Sooner Nation points. The team is available for autographs following all home games.

Single game tickets for the 2009 soccer season are on sale. The 19-game regular season slate is highlighted by 11 regular season contests at the Sooners' home and one of the premier collegiate soccer facilities in the nation, John Crain Field at the OU Soccer Complex.

OU remains home to open Big 12 play on Friday, Sept. 25 against Texas at 7 p.m. Two days later, the Sooners play host to Texas A&M on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m.

Palmer Records Hat Trick; Moves into Fourth
Junior forward Whitney Palmer became the second player in school history to record a hat trick on Aug. 30 vs. Tulsa, tying the mark set by Logan Womack in 2002, the program's all-time leading goal scorer. Palmer was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts and has since moved into sole possession of fourth place on OU's all-time goals scored list.
