Soccer Alumni Weekend Set

NORMAN, Okla. - The alumni of the University of Oklahoma soccer program are invited to join the Sooners at the 2009 Soccer Alumni Weekend held Sept. 18-20 at John Crain Field.

A number of events are planned for the weekend and begins on Sept. 18 when the Sooners welcome Lamar to Norman for a 7 p.m. game.  All alumni in attendance will be recognized at halftime of the contest and a social will be held afterwards.

On Saturday, Sept. 19, alumni are invited to join the team for a tailgate before the OU football game against Tulsa.

The weekend concludes on Sunday, Sept. 20, as Oklahoma hosts nationally-ranked USC at 1 p.m.

The soccer program began in 1996 and is entering its 14th season in Norman.  The regular season kicks off at home on Friday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. against Missouri State.
