Volleyball to Meet Fans Saturday

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma volleyball team will host its annual Crimson and Cream scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 10 a.m. inside the Howard McCasland Field House. The two-hour intrasquad scrimmage is free admission and open to the public. Following the match, the Ace Club will host a free pot luck for the fans. Players will also be available for autographs.

The event will provide Sooner fans the first opportunity to watch the 2009 squad under the direction of sixth-year head coach Santiago Restrepo. Oklahoma opens the season Aug. 28 at the Mizuno Invitational in Houston.

Season tickets are on sale now, through the University of Oklahoma Athletics Ticket Office. Fans can order season tickets online or by calling (405) 325-2424 or (800) 456-GOOU. Season tickets are $40 for the general public and $32 for OU faculty/staff and letterwinners.

Single game tickets go on sale Wednesday, Sept. 2. Season and single-game tickets are also available at McCasland Field House on the day of the event beginning one our prior to game time.

Group tickets are available for a discounted rate. Tickets are $4 each for groups of 10 or more. Groups of 100 or more are eligible for $3 tickets. Arrangements for group tickets must be made at least 24 hours prior to the event. Please call (405) 325-8237 for more information.
