Sooner Profile: Ashley Farrand

NORMAN, Okla. -- With a new coaching staff last season and a continuous influx of fresh talent, the Sooner soccer team has been going through a transition period the last couple years.
 
Throughout the process, however, there has been one constant -- her name is Ashley Farrand.
 
A senior from Tulsa, Farrand has played more games than any other Sooner (57) and is the only player on the roster who has started a contest in each of the last three seasons. Excelling off the field as well, she is a two-time Academic All-Big 12 selection while majoring in Zoology/Biomedical Science.
 
With all that knowledge and experience, Farrand is without question OU's leader, and she is taking it upon herself to make sure this team reaches its full potential in 2009.
