• The second-ranked Sooners won their 12th game in a row with a 78-63 victory at Baylor. It was OU's 30th consecutive win over the Bears and 16th straight in Waco. No other Big 12 school owns a perfect series record against a conference opponent since the league began play in 1996-97 (OU is 26-0 against Baylor since the Big 12 was formed).
• Oklahoma improved to 24-1 on the year, good for the best start in school history. Only the 1996-97 Kansas team (34-1) has posted a better start to a season in Big 12 history.
• The Sooners also improved to 10-0 in Big 12 play, their best conference start since beginning 11-0 in the Big Eight in 1985.
• OU shot .542 from the field while holding Baylor to a .386 mark. During their current 12-game winning streak, the Sooners are outshooting their opponents from the field, .510 to .389. They have shot better than each of those 12 foes.
• Oklahoma went 19-for-27 from the free throw line in the second half after not attempting a foul shot in the first 20 minutes. Despite a modest .679 team free throw percentage, the Sooners have made 20 more foul shots on the year than their opponents have attempted. Baylor was 14-for-19 tonight.
• Blake Griffin posted his 21st double-double of the season with a team-high 18 points and 10 rebounds. He was 6-for-10 from the field and added an assist and two blocks. He has registered at least one assist in all 25 outings this year.
• The double-double was Griffin's seventh straight. He has also recorded two separate streaks of six double-doubles this season. Griffin has led OU on the glass in 23 of 25 games.
• Austin Johnson scored in double figures for the sixth time in Big 12 play with 17 points. The senior guard was 6-for-8 from the floor and 4-for-5 from 3-point range while adding five assists against one turnover. His 3.0 assist-to-turnover ratio leads the Big 12 and ranks in the top 10 nationally.
• Johnson is 20-for-44 (.455) from 3-point range over OU's 10 conference outings. In the team's 15 non-league games, he was 13-for-47 (.277).
• In Oklahoma's five conference road games, Johnson is 14-for-24 (.583) from long distance. He is 13-for-21 from behind the arc over the last four league road outings, good for a .619 mark.
• Juan Pattillo came off the bench to supply his first career double-double with 14 points and 10 boards (both career highs). The junior college transfer was 6-for-8 from the field and added two blocked shots.
• Over the last six games, Pattillo is averaging 10.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 20.7 minutes a contest. He is shooting .657 from the field and .875 from the free throw line (14-for-16) during the stretch.
• Freshman Willie Warren finished with 14 points, three boards and three assists on the night. The guard was 7-for-8 from the free throw line (made his final seven attempts), making him 26-for-29 (.897) over the last six games.
• One game after going 7-for-11 from 3-point range against Colorado, Tony Crocker was 2-for-4 from behind the arc against Baylor. Over the last 15 games, Crocker is 36-for-80 (.450) from 3-point range.
• With its win, Oklahoma improved to 136-52 (.723) all-time against Big 12 teams from Texas (Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech). It is 84-26 (.764) against those programs since the formation of the Big 12 Conference (1996-97 was the first year of the league).
• OU returns home to face Texas Tech on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. CST. Reserved seats are sold out, but $10 restricted admission tickets will go on sale at Lloyd Noble Center beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday.
