• No. 6/6 Oklahoma (14-1) closed out its regular season non-conference schedule with a 100-64 victory over Maryland Eastern Shore (1-9) on Monday at Lloyd Noble Center. It was OU's 13th straight home win.
• Assistant coach Mark Cline led the Sooners to the win as head coach Jeff Capel missed tonight's game (hospitalized with a stomach virus).
• OU has posted its best regular season non-conference record (14-1) since going 15-1 in 1987-88. The 1987-88 squad advanced to the national championship game.
• Blake Griffin scored 20 points and added 16 rebounds in just 22 minutes for his nation-leading 12th double-double of the season (fourth straight). It was also the ninth time this season the sophomore has had at least 20 points and 10 boards. Griffin added two assists, a career-high-tying four blocks and three steals.
• The Sooners have now won 70 of their last 72 home non-conference games dating back to the 1999-2000 season.
• OU's 100 points marked its most since scoring 103 against Baylor on Feb. 26, 2005. It has scored 99 twice during the Capel era.
• The Sooners improved to 9-0 at home on the season, with an average margin of victory of 21.1 in those contests.
• Both squads attempted 74 shots on the night, but Oklahoma had 14 more makes (37-23). The Sooners shot .500 from the field (.588 in the second half), marking the eighth time this season they posted at least a .500 figure (all wins).
• OU closed the first half on a 14-2 run to lead 48-22 at intermission. OU also pushed ahead 80-36 at the 9:25 mark of the second half after an 11-0 run.
• Oklahoma's 52 boards marked the second straight contest it has recorded a season high. The Sooners had 48 rebounds Saturday versus Coppin State.
• The Sooners outscored Maryland Eastern Shore 52-18 in the paint and 39-25 off the bench.
• Sophomore center Orlando Allen netted career highs of 10 points, five rebounds and five blocks in 14 minutes of play off the bench. Allen has scored 16 points in his last two contests after scoring 10 points in the first 13 games of the season.
• Willie Warren notched his fourth straight double-digit scoring effort with 15 points (10-of-10 from the charity stripe) in 20 minutes of action. He is averaging 23.8 points over those four contests.
• Tony Crocker scored 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting. The junior guard is averaging 17.7 points in his last three games and has scored in double figures seven times in the last eight outings (he did it once in OU's first seven games).
• Austin Johnson dished out four assists without a turnover while adding four points, three rebounds, two steals and a block. Johnson entered tonight's contest ranked second in the league in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.0-to-1), seventh in assists (4.3) and 11th in steals (1.8).
• Cade Davis' eight points was his highest scoring output since netting 10 against Purdue on Nov. 28.
• Sophomore Kyle Cannon's seven points marked a career high while Beau Gerber's field goal tied his season high of two points.
• The Big 12's 13th season of league play will commence for Oklahoma on Saturday when the Sooners play at Kansas State at 12:30 p.m. CST (regionally televised by the Big 12 Network). OU will have a quick turnaround before its second conference game of the year, an ESPN Big Monday home contest against Texas on Jan. 12 (8 p.m.).
