Stoops Kicks Off Spring Practice

Stoops to Sign Friday

NORMAN, Okla. - Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops will not be in attendance at Wednesday's Meet the Sooners event while he attends a memorial service for the late Bobby Murcer.

Stoops will instead sign autographs Friday after the team's open practice.

"I regret the inconvenience to our fans, but Bobby and I were good friends and I want to be at his service in support of his family," Stoops said. "I will look forward to seeing many of our fans on Friday."

The logistics of the Friday signing will be announced within the next 48 hours. The Friday practice is currently scheduled from 9-11:30 a.m.

Information relating to Coach Stoops' signing will be released to news agencies and posted to SoonerSports.com.
