NORMAN, Okla. -- The No. 40 University of Oklahoma women's golf team followed its school record-tying first-round 287 with a 302 in the second round of the 17-team MountainView Collegiate, and the Sooners remain tied for the lead at the 6,178-yard, par-72 MountainView Golf Course in Tucson, Ariz. The Sooners and Indiana are two strokes ahead of third-place Missouri and five ahead of fourth-place Texas Tech.
Junior Kendall Dye and senior Heather Wright are leading the way for the Sooners through 36 holes of the 54-hole tournament. They each stand tied for sixth place at 145 (+1), five strokes behind leader Erica Moston of San Jose State. Dye fired a 75 (+3) in the second round while Wright carded a 76 (+4).

Senior Kelly Jacques put together a second-round 76 (+4), leaving her in a tie for 18th at 148 (+4). Freshman Ellen Mueller shot a 75 (+3) in the second round, equaling her best round of the spring season. She is tied for 31st at 151 (+7).
Sophomore Ryanne Elmer, competing individually, fired a career-best 76 in the second round. She is tied for 59th place at 154 (+10). Junior Staci Smoot posted her second straight 79, putting her in a tie for 77th at 158 (+14).
Sunday's final round will begin at 10 a.m. CDT.
