• Down by six with 0:59 seconds remaining, Oklahoma won its second consecutive game when hitting a 3-point basket with less than eight seconds remaining.
• Oklahoma won its 28th consecutive contest against the Bears. The Sooners improved to 33-5 all-time against Baylor and have won the last 16 in Norman after losing the first two home games in the series.
• Held scoreless in the second half until the final 10 seconds when he hit two free throws, Tony Crocker connected on back-to-back 3-point baskets in the overtime period, including the four-point play that put OU up for good. Crocker's seven points in OT came in the final 21 seconds of the game.
• Oklahoma improved to 18-8 on the year and 6-5 in the Big 12, tying Texas A&M for fourth place in the league standings.
• OU's won its sixth conference contest, tying last year's Big 12 win total.
• The Sooners improved to 2-0 in overtime games during the Capel era. The Sooners beat West Virginia 88-82 in double-overtime on Dec. 29, 2007.
• Blake Griffin recorded his eighth double-double on the year with a career-high 29 points and 15 boards. Griffin was 13-of-17 from the line. His 13 makes from the line marked a career high.
• Crocker reach double figures in the first half for the second consecutive home contest. Crocker scored 10 first-half points tonight after scoring 12 before intermission against Iowa State. He finished with 20.
• Austin Johnson finished with 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting. Johnson scored 13 of his total after intermission, including all three 3-point makes. He hit two treys in overtime.
• Johnson is averaging 17.3 points over the last three contests after averaging just 3.3 ppg the three games before the streak. The Amarillo, Texas, native has 11 3-point makes over the last three games.
• The Sooners shot .556 from 3-point distance (10-of-16). Their 10 makes were the most in Big 12 play this season.
• Oklahoma was 28-of-37 (.757) from the free throw line, marking its most makes from the charity stripe under Capel.
• Baylor used a new starting lineup for the first time this season as Tweety Carter, Henry Dugat, Curtis Jerrells, Kevin Rogers and Mark Shepperd got the starting nod. Carter and Shepperd both started their first game of the season, replacing Aaron Bruce and Josh Lomers who both saw reserve action.
• Baylor's 33 fouls in the contest marked an OU opponent high on the year.
