• No. 5/5 Oklahoma improved to 10-0 – its best start since the 2003-04 season (also 10-0) – with a 70-52 victory over the Utah Utes.
• Prior to today's 18-point loss, Utah's three defeats had come by a combined eight points. The loss was the worst under second-year head coach Jim Boylen.
• All five OU starters reached double figures, led by Austin Johnson's 14 points. It marked the first time all five OU starters have scored at least 10 points since the Sooners' 66-48 win over Purdue on Dec. 8, 2004.
• Today was the first time since Jan. 26, 2008, against Baylor that five Oklahoma players scored at least 10 points.
• The Sooners outrebounded the Utes 19-11 in the second half and recorded a 37-29 advantage on the boards for the game.
• Oklahoma has won 68 of its last 70 non-conference home contests dating back to the 1999-2000 season.
• OU shot a season-high .867 (26-of-30) from the free throw line. It entered the game shooting .670 on the year.
• Oklahoma's eight turnovers tied a season low (USC).
• Utah's 21 points in the opening half marked a season low. The Utes had not been held under 26 in the opening stanza in any of its previous eight contests.
• Blake Griffin scored all 11 of his points from the free throw line (on 14 attempts) and added 11 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the year in a season-low 23 minutes. Griffin's double-double was the first by a Ute opponent this season.
• Griffin picked up his second foul 3:57 into the game and played only seven minutes in the first half. He was 0-for-3 from the field on the day.
• Willie Warren reached double figures for the third straight contest with 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting.
• Also in double figures was Taylor Griffin, who scored 11 points and added seven boards in a game-high-tying 36 minutes.
• Preseason All-Mountain West Conference selection Luke Nevill was held to just 10 points and four rebounds. His 10 points tied a season low while his four boards were one more than his season low. Nevill entered the game averaging 18.1 points and 8.5 rebounds a contest.
