NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma volleyball team travels to Columbia, Mo. this weekend to face the University of Missouri. First serve from the Hearnes Center on the MU campus is set for 1 p.m. CST Sunday afternoon. The Sooners (10-13, 6-9 Big 12) look to rebound following a loss, while the Tigers (11-12, 5-8 Big 12) look to extend their win streak to two matches.

Oklahoma leads the all-time series with the Tigers, 36-27 but the series is even at 12-all in matches played in Columbia. The two teams previously met on Sept. 17 with OU taking a 3-1 win. In that contest, Francie Ekwerekwu led OU with a team-high 13 kills. Ekwerekwu added five total blocks on the evening. In a strong defensive matchup, the Sooners tallied 102 total digs on the evening. Senior Lacy Barnes tallied a career-high 22 digs, while junior Bridget Laplante also added 22.
Junior Bridget Laplante recorded her seventh double-double of the season but the Oklahoma volleyball team was unable to pull off an upset Wednesday evening of 15th-ranked Kansas State. The Sooners dropped the opening set to the Wildcats, 25-20 before winning the second 25-16. Kansas State responded winning the third 25-23 and the fourth 25-20 to take the match 3-1.

Laplante led OU with 14 kills and 17 digs, her first double-double since the Texas Tech match on Sept. 27. The Tomball, Texas native also led the Sooner's with a .297 hitting percentage on the evening. Freshman Brianne Barker contributed a season-high 24 digs to go along with her 40 assists. The total is the setter's team leading 13th double-double of the year.

Following this weekend's action, the Sooners return home Wednesday evening, Nov. 12, to face Kansas in a 7 p.m. CST matchup from McCasland Field House. Oklahoma hosts faculty and staff night and the first 250 fans through the door receive an OU volleyball mouse pad.
