6:18 p.m. | Two Weeks to Tech
Now, Sooner fans can sit back and watch OSU and the
Red Raiders duke it out in Lubbock. OU needs Tech to
win and then beat both Tech and OSU to force a three-way
tie in the Big 12 South. Then, the highest-ranked team
in the BCS goes to the Big 12 title game. OU has a
bye to build even more anticipation for one of the
biggest home games in recent memory on November 22.
6:16 p.m. | It's Blocked
LSU just blocked a point-blank field goal attempt by
Alabama and the game goes to overtime, 21-21. Man,
some exciting things happening ahead of the Sooners
on the BCS totem pole.
6:14 p.m. | Offensive Line
ABC selects the entire Oklahoma offensive line as "Player
of the Game" The Sooners piled up 329 rushing
yards and four rushing touchdowns. Nice job big boys
up front.
6:10 p.m. | OU's Biggest Win in College Station
Oklahoma will move its mark to 17-10 all-time against
Texas A&M with tonight's blowout. The Sooners have
won the last six meetings including a 77-0 rout in
2003. Biggest win by far for the Sooners in College
Station.
6:03 p.m. | Scores
Aggravating for the defense to play so well all game
and give up a garbage touchdown late. Unfortunately
in this age of the BCS, scores matter for those voters
who didn't watch the game.
5:58 p.m. | Broadcasting
Come on ABC. Do you really need to be showing what
Coach Patton is sketching on his board for the offensive
linemen on the sideline?
5:54 p.m. | Dom & Dom'er
Dominique Franks recorded a defensive TD for the second
consecutive game when he returned a botched pitch 39
yards late in the third quarter. It marked OU's first
fumble recovery for a TD since Curtis Lofton did so
against Missouri in 2007 and the 10th longest fumble
return in program history.
5:48 p.m. | OU Shuts Down Offense
The reserves are in and A&M knows the Sooners are
trying to run the ball and eat the clock. Halzle just
doesn't get much of a chance.
5:39 p.m. | Penn State Undefeated No Longer
Iowa upset Penn State, 24-23, and LSU just tied it
up with Alabama, 21-21, in Baton Rouge. |

5:29 p.m. | Time for Franks Highlight
Dominique Franks grabs the ball after "X-Factor" Frank
Alexander causes the fumble. OU's defensive ends including
Alexander, Alan Davis and Jeremy Beal are getting props
from the ABC announcing crew in the press box.
5:22 p.m. | Iglesias: Thanks Box
Juaquin Iglesias hauls in another beautiful pass from
Sam Bradford to push Oklahoma's margin to 59-14. The
offense can thank Austin Box for the ball. Nice to
see the linebackers getting highlights.
5:17 p.m. | Score Alerts
No. 1 Alabama leads LSU in Baton Rouge, 21-14, late
in the third quarter while No. 3 Penn State is in a
fight in Iowa City, clinging to a 23-21 lead against
Iowa. |

5:15 p.m. | Kickoffs... No Thanks
Do we have to kick off? Can we just lob the ball out
of bounds and let the defense have a chance?
5:11 p.m. | Brown Rumbles In, Again
The Sooners are starting to run away with this game,
literally. Chris Brown rumbles in for another score.
It's 52-14, OU. Oklahoma has 534 yards with eight minutes
left in the the third quarter.
5:08 p.m. | Keenan Clayton
Linebacker Keenan Clayton displays his athleticism
with that one-handed interception. Coach V has to be
happy with that one.
5:05 p.m. | Broyles in for Six
Ryan Broyles hauls in a perfect strike from Sam Bradford
to put OU up, 45-14. Empty seats becoming evident in
the TV broadcast. Ed Cunningham makes an interesting
observation that Sam Bradford doesn't give away anything
to the DBs with his eyes. Bradford doesn't lock on
to a receiver.
4:57 p.m. | More on Murray
Jack Arute reports that DeMarco Murray really wants
a long rushing touchdown. Evidently Murray calls that "the
big one".
4:54 p.m. | Fourth and 400
OU's 423 yards in the first half was the fourth time
in the Stoops' era that it had eclipsed the 400-yard
mark in a half. Two prior occurrences came last season
(North Texas and Utah State) and the third this year
against Kansas (419 yards). OU also rolled up 399 first
half yards against Kansas State.
4:49 p.m. | 40 per Carry
Ron Franklin just asked his analyst Ed Cunningham "how
do you slow Oklahoma down?" DeMarco Murray has
three carries for 120 yards in the first half. I could
probably give you the per-carry average but I'd have
to get my calculator. Just kidding.
4:41 p.m. | Virtual Halftime
Here's a video showing the full halftime performance
by the Fightin' Texas Aggie Marching Band the last
time OU played A&M in College Station back during
the 2006 season (plus some Allen Patrick).

4:33 p.m. | Lull in the Game Video
Bassity responds to our call-out in the blog and provides
this video nugget for your enjoyment at halftime: "Suffice
to say these Texas A&M "rappers" won't
be making a new celebration beat today":

4:29 p.m. | 142-56
ABC scrolled this staggering stat as the Sooners and
Aggies headed for their locker rooms at halftime: Oklahoma
has outscored opponents 142-56 in the first half in
the last three games.
4:24 p.m. | Hit the Corps
Jimmy Stevens nails the field goal with the Fightin'
Aggie Marching Band looking on from the end zone. Can
you execute an offense with no time outs better than
that? Kudos to Sam and the offense.
4:18 p.m. | DeMarco Murray
We know everyone is on the edge of their seat for the
weekly David Bassity "Lull in the Game" video
but he just keeps plugging us interesting notes from
the press box at Kyle Field: With his four catches,
DeMarco Murray now has 23 receptions on the season,
good for fourth all-time for receptions in a season
by a running back. Quentin Griffin has the top three
spots with 64 (2001), 51 (2000) and 35 (2002) catches
in a single season.
4:12 p.m. | Boom!
Chris Brown strolls virtually untouched into the end
zone to put the Sooners up, 35-14. Oklahoma's offense
takes no prisoners.
4:12 p.m. | Receivers
Juaquin Iglesias displays his awareness and experience
by stretching for that first down. Nice to see Manny
Johnson back on the field again. Does Broyles remind
anyone of Mark Clayton?
4:01 p.m. | Up & Down
Does it seem like OU's emotion and intensity fluctuates
like the stock market as of late? A&M scores and
cuts OU's lead to 28-14.
4:01 p.m. | Shadows in College Station
The shadow from the press box on the west side of Kyle
Field appears to now cover the field. TV was having
a hard time there for a time moving from the shadows
to the sunny part of the field.
3:58 p.m. | OU vs. Tech Experience
Bid now on the ultimate fan experience to see the Sooners
host Texas Tech. One lucky OU fan and a guest will
have the opportunity to go down on the sidelines prior
to the Texas Tech game on Saturday, Nov. 22. |

3:53 p.m. | Defensive Ends
Alan Davis is the third defensive end (after Frank
Alexander and Jeremy Beal) that has applied obvious
pressure to A&M quarterback Jerrod Johnson. Nice
job Colleyville, Texas. Was that an illegal forward
pass or grounding?
3:50 p.m. | Intensity
Jack Arute reports that Brent Venables and the OU defensive
staff have been up in the grill of the players on the
sideline even though the Sooners are up, 28-7. The
camera is zoomed in on Venables now and you can see
his intensity. Enid linebacker Austin Box just recorded
his sixth tackle of the game.
3:46 p.m. | Tigers vs. Tide
Score of interest: LSU is up, 14-7, on No. 1 Alabama
in Baton Rouge in the second quarter. It's the return
of former Tiger coach Nick Saban to Louisiana. Why
in the world is that game not at night?
3:40 p.m. | Scoring in Flurries
Another note from OU's crack media relations staff
accompanying the team in College Station: With 21 first
quarter points, Oklahoma eclipsed the 20-point mark
in a quarter for the 10th time this season, six of
those coming in the first quarter.
3:35 p.m. | A&M's Return
Man, you just knew that OU was going to give up a big
return and there it was. Texas A&M strikes for
their first score of the game.
3:29 p.m. | Clapp & Gresham
Matt Clapp bulls in for his third touchdown of the
season and Jermaine Gresham gets props from the announcing
crew for blocking his defender into the end zone. It's
28-0, Sooners.
3:26 p.m. | Stoops to Bush
Election week coverage: ABC showed a nice shot from
before the game when Coach Stoops walked across the
field from the OU bench and shook hands with President
George H. Bush.
3:17 p.m. | Coffin Corner
Mike Knall's first punt of the game sailed out of bounds
at the Texas A&M four-yard line, Knall's 13th punt
of the season to be downed inside the 20. Did you catch
his interview from this week?
Mike
Knall on Punting for Oklahoma
3:17 p.m. | From the Kyle Field Press Box
Quick notes from OU assistant media relations director
David Bassity along with Mossman in the Kyle Field
press box:

Sophomore
RB DeMarco Murray recorded his fourth career receiving
TD, all coming in the last three games, with a 15-yard
grab with 8:05 remaining in the first quarter.
With
13:31 remaining in the first quarter, Sam Bradford
picked up his fourth career rushing touchdown, all
coming this year, with a bootleg from 15 yards out.
The run marked a career long for Bradford whose previous
long was 13 yards against Kansas.
Oklahoma
marched 90 yards on four plays in its opening scoring
drive. The drive marked the third of the season over
90 yards, the longest, 97, coming last week against
Nebraska.
DeMarco
Murray's 70-yard run early in the first quarter marked
a season-long run for Oklahoma. Murray held the previous
long of 49 versus Chattanooga.
3:12 p.m. | Colorado?
What state is the head ref in? He called timeout for
Colorado before correcting himself with "Texas
A&M". OU has the refs' heads spinning too
after the start to this game.
3:11 p.m. | First Down Ovation
The Home of the 12th Man just gave the Texas A&M
offense a standing ovation for the team's initial first
down of the game.
3:08 p.m. | Uncle?
Cunningham makes a mention of how hard Jermaine Gresham
has worked on his hands after that last catch. Then,
Chris Brown rolls in for another Sooner score and Franklin
says Oklahoma is making it look "more than easy".
That was the 13th touchdown drive of the season for
OU that took less than 60 seconds.
3:02 p.m. | Finesse and Power
Franklin and Cunningham are discussing how Oklahoma's
offense is not a true spread and that the Sooners can
go to a power running game when dictated by offensive
coordinator Kevin Wilson.
2:58 p.m. | The Blitz is On
Oklahoma already has 121 rushing yards roughly halfway
through the first quarter. The announcers are gushing
about how efficient Oklahoma is in the red zone with
all trips resulting in touchdowns aside from five field
goals. DeMarco Murray seals the deal and OU is following
this season's script with another blitzkrieg start.
2:47 p.m. | X-Factor Times Two
Defensive end Frank Alexander comes up with a big stop
on second down and the other end, Jeremy Beal, pushes
his blocking lineman into A&M quarterback Jerrod
Johnson on third down to halt the Aggies' first drive
of the game. Good showing from the bookends.
2:41 p.m. | Joe Kines
ABC showed a shot of Texas A&M defensive coordinator
Joe Kines after Oklahoma's opening score and we couldn't
help but think of this post-game interview after Alabama's
Independence Bowl win against Oklahoma State in 2006.

Joe
Kines Post-Game Interview
2:41 p.m. | Murray Knocking Heads
Although that opening return was negated by a holding
call, DeMarco Murray plowed the Aggie. He followed
that up with a huge catch that set up Sam Bradford's
run into the end zone. Ed Cunningham remarked that
Murray seems to be back to his old ways.
2:37 p.m. | "Wildest Conference" Underway
ABC's sideline analyst Jack Arute is detailing OU's "X-Factor":
defensive end Frank Alexander who will start in place
of injured Auston English. We're about set to kick
off from Kyle Field.
2:32 p.m. | Record-Setter
Ron Franklin and Ed Cunningham are discussing the Big
12 South scenarios on ABC prior to kickoff. Cunningham
just said that "every time Sam Bradford comes
out, he seems to set a new record."

might be the best team out there with a big schedule
yet to play. The Sooners battle Texas A&M in College

Game Notes
Sam
Bradford set an OU record last Saturday night against
Nebraska. He now has 31 pass completions of 40 or more
yards in his career. That is two more than the previous
best of 29 by Jason White.
DeMarco
Murray now has scored 29 touchdowns over his first
two seasons as a Sooner. That ties for the most in
the first two years of an OU career ... with Adrian
Peterson.
OU
center Jon Cooper recorded his 100th knockdown block
of the season against Nebraska last Saturday.
Junior
TE Jermaine Gresham has moved into second place on
Oklahoma's all-time touchdown receptions list with
21 (tied with Malcolm Kelly). He trails only former
All-American Mark Clayton, who had 31 ... in four seasons.
OLB
Keenan Clayton has established an Oklahoma record with
five forced fumbles this season. OU ranks No. 5 nationally
in turnover margin at +1.33 and has 12 takeaways in
its last three games.
OLB
Travis Lewis, Oklahoma's leading tackler with 93, needs
just seven more stops to become only the second linebacker
in school history to get 100 in his freshman season.
The other was Brian Bosworth (133) in 1984.
Perhaps
lost in the passing exploits of Bradford is the fact
that Oklahoma has rushed for 180 or more yards in seven
of nine games.
Oklahoma's
first-half scoring average of 35.2 points would rank
No. 23 nationally for all FBS teams in entire games.
The Sooners have scored on their first possession in
eight of nine games. In the lone exception, vs. Kansas,
the team scored on its second possession. Three times
this season, OU has scored 28 or more points in the
first quarter and twice it has scored 50 or more in
the first half.
10:56 a.m. | Scan of Headlines
From the Houston Chronicle: "Sooners
