NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's volleyball team returns to action Wednesday evening hosting the University of Colorado in a 7 p.m. match from McCasland Field House. The Sooners (7-10, 3-6 Big 12) are seeking their first win of October, while the Buffs (9-7, 3-4) look to snap a four-game losing skid to OU. The first 250 fans in attendance receive an OU volleyball pennant.

OU battled but was unable to upset second-ranked Nebraska as the Huskers won in straight sets in front of a sold out crowd of 4,091 at Nebraska Coliseum on Oct. 8. The Sooners fell 25-16, 25-19 and 25-14 to the Huskers. The team fell in five sets to 16th-ranked Kansas State on Oct. 11. The Sooners won the first two sets, 25-18 and 25-22, but the Wildcats responded, taking the third set 26-24 and the last two 25-20 and 15-9.

Brianne Barker recorded her team-leading ninth double-double of the season against Kansas State with 40 assists and 12 digs. The Amarillo native has tallied double-digit digs in three of the last five matches. Caitlin Higgins has netted double-digit digs in four of the last five matches. She has eight double-doubles on the year, including two straight against #2 Nebraska and #16 Kansas State. She now has double-doubles in three out of the last five matches.

Colorado enters Wednesday evening's game looking to get back into the win column after falling to #3 Texas on Saturday evening. The Buffs have dropped three out of the last five. CU started the year 6-0 before falling to Colorado State, Florida and North Carolina. The Buffs have conference wins against Kansas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.

Following Wednesday evening's match, the Sooners travel to Lawrence, Kan. on Saturday to face the Kansas Jayhawks in a 7 p.m. contest at the Horejsi Family Athletics Center.
