• Starting his third consecutive game, Taylor Griffin scored a career-high 20 points on 7-of-8 shooting. The junior also added a game-high six boards, one assist and one steal in 28 minutes of action.

• Freshman forward Blake Griffin had a game-high three assists - all in the first half to his brother Taylor. The younger Griffin finished with 15 points, four rebounds, two blocks and a steal.

• Tonight marked the third time this season both Griffin's hit double digits in scoring and the first time in Big 12 play.

• Down by five at the half, OU opened the second stanza on a 9-0 run, capped off by a Longar Longar bucket at the 16:55 mark to take a 36-32 lead.

• OU improved to 3-5 when trailing at halftime. The five-point halftime deficit marked the largest in a game the Sooners have come back to win this season.

• Oklahoma forced seven turnovers in a span of eight first-half OSU possessions. The Cowboys did not score a point during the 7:22 scoring drought that ended on a made 3-pointer by Byron Eaton that tied the game 16-16 at the 7:22 mark. The Cowboys had two scoring droughts of over three minutes during the second half.

• Oklahoma was 19-of-38 (.500) from the field, marking the 10th time this season the Sooners have shot .500 or better. The 19 made baskets were the fewest for the Sooners on the year and marked the fewest in a victory since hitting 18 against Iowa State in last year's Big 12 tournament.

• OU's 38 field-goal attempts were the fewest of the Capel era.

• The Sooners held OSU to a .383 (18-of-47) percentage from the field. OU entered the contest holding opponents to a .398 season field goal mark.

• The two teams both committed 12 turnovers, but the Sooners scored 17 points off turnovers to the Cowboys' three. OU also scored 15 second-chance points to OSU's two and led the fast-break-points category 9-2.

• All of OU's 15 second-chance points came in the second half. The Sooners had no offensive rebounds in the first half and six after halftime.

• After hitting 11-of-23 (.478) first-half field goals and going 6-for-11 (.545) from 3-point distance, the Cowboys shot just .292 (7-of-24) in the second half and made just 2-of-10 (.200) 3-point baskets.

• The Cowboys lost their 17th consecutive road game dating back to Feb. 11, 2006. The 14 straight losses in Big 12 road contests marks the second-longest in school history.

• Oklahoma improved to 123-88 against OSU in the 211th meeting between the two in-state rivals. OU holds a 76-26 advantage in Norman. The Sooners evened the series 12-12 since the inception of the Big 12.
