• Today's win snapped OU's two-game losing streak and improved its all-time series lead against Tech to 26-16. OU is 16-5 against Tech in Norman and leads the overall series since the formation of the Big 12 Conference, 17-8.

• Today's win improved Oklahoma's season home-court record to 9-2 and gave OU its first Big 12 Conference win of the year (1-2).

• After being outrebounded in three of its last four outings, Oklahoma outboarded Tech 40-27. The Sooners are 10-2 on the season when outrebounding their foe.

• OU returned to the defense it was known for in the first 15 games of the season, holding Tech to under .500 shooting after allowing its last two opponents, Kansas State (.564) and Kansas (.534), to top the .500 mark. The Red Raiders shot .426 from the field (.391 in the second half).

• The Sooners held Tech to just 27 rebounds, tying as the fewest by an OU opponent this season (Denver on Nov. 9).

• Oklahoma also held Tech to an opponent season low in offensive rebounds with two. The previous low of five was recorded by Denver and Gonzaga (Dec. 20).

• OU tied its season high in blocks with seven. It marked the third time this season for Oklahoma to do so, blocking seven shots apiece against Memphis (Nov. 15) and Kansas (Jan. 14). Longar Longar led the way three rejections.

• Longar has scored in double figures in the nine of the last 10 games after netting 16 today. The senior has also recorded at least 16 points in eight of those 10 contests. He is averaging 18.3 points over the team's first three Big 12 games.

• Today's game also marked the ninth time in the last 10 that Longar scored more points after halftime than in the first 20 minutes. After scoring just six points in the first half, Longar had 10 points in the second half on 5-of-7 shooting.

• Longar's nine rebounds were his most in 10 games (he had at TCU on Dec. 2).

• Junior Taylor Griffin put together his best game of the season with a career-high-tying 16 points (he scored 16 against Memphis last season).

• Griffin also recorded a season-high 12 rebounds against the Red Raiders, one shy of his career high. Griffin had previously collected eight boards twice this season against Arkansas (Dec. 15) and Kansas.

• Griffin's double-double marked the first of the season and third of his career.

• Tony Crocker, who was just 3-for-11 over the last four games from behind the arc, broke out of his slump with a 3-for-4 outing. It was Crocker's sixth game of making at least three treys this year and he upped his season 3-point percentage to .493. Crocker finished with 15 points, his fourth straight game to hit double digits.

• David Godbold finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and two assists. Godbold has three double-digit scoring games in the last six contests, after doing it once in OU's first 12 outings.

• OU honored Stacey King's No. 33 jersey at halftime of the Texas Tech game. King wore No. 33 and is the Sooners' fifth all-time leading scorer. He became the fourth Sooner to have his jersey honored. Others are Wayman Tisdale (No. 23), Alvan Adams (No. 33) and Mookie Blaylock (No. 10).
