• Blake Griffin sustained a left knee injury at the 15:04 mark of the first half and did not return. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Tuesday afternoon. The freshman forward, who was named Big 12 Rookie of the Week earlier in the day, grabbed one rebound and did not score. Griffin entered the game with nine straight double-digit scoring efforts and had averaged 23.7 points and 10.0 rebounds over the previous three contests.

• Longar Longar scored a game-high 21 points on 9-for-18 field goal and 3-for-4 free throw shooting. He has scored in double figures in eight of the last nine games and has reached at least 16 points in seven of those outings. Longar also added five rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot in a career-high 38 minutes.

• Starting guard Tony Crocker picked up three early fouls and played just four minutes in the first half. He scored all 10 of his points in the game's final 10:22. Crocker has scored in double figures in three straight games and in 12 outings this season.

• With the injury to his brother, junior forward Taylor Griffin played a season-high 34 minutes and finished with eight points, eight rebounds and two assists. He was 4-for-4 from the free throw line. His previous high in minutes this year was 26 in the opener against San Francisco.

• Guard Austin Johnson was held to two points on 1-for-4 shooting, his lowest point total since the second game of the season.

• Omar Leary, who had played 33 total minutes over OU's previous four games, saw 23 minutes against Kansas and finished with six points. He was 2-for-3 from 3-point range to raise his season percentage to .455.

• A product of Winfield, Kan., who had played 12 minutes all season, Beau Gerber played two minutes in each half.

• The Jayhawks entered the game forcing 19.6 turnovers per contest. Oklahoma committed 11 on the evening.

• Oklahoma's .328 field goal effort was its lowest of the season. Last year, OU's two worst shooting games came against Kansas.

• Kansas shot .534 from the field on the night, one game after Kansas State posted a .564 figure against the Sooners. No team had shot .500 or better against OU prior to Saturday.

• Kansas' 85 points were an OU opponent season high.
