NORMAN, Okla. - OU fans wanting to see the Sooners compete in the 2007 Phillip 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City still have a chance. The OU Athletics Ticket Office has acquired an extra allotment of all-session tickets for the event to be played this Thursday through Sunday.
Tickets are $240 and include admission to all six sessions (11 games) of the championship. Tickets may be purchased at the OU Athletics Ticket Office or by calling (800) 456-4668.
The No. 9 seed Sooners will open Big 12 Championship play on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. CST against No. 8 seed Iowa State. If OU beats the Cyclones it will play regular season league champion Kansas on Friday at 11:30 a.m. Saturday's semifinals will be played at 1 and 3:20 p.m. while Sunday's title game will begin at 2 p.m.
Oklahoma has won three (2001, 2002 and 2003) of the Big 12's 10 postseason championships and owns the second most wins and second best winning percentage (a 17-7 record for a .708 mark).
