NORMAN, Okla. Tenth-ranked Oklahoma posted a season-high 197.175 in its final regular season dual, defeating Pittsburgh (194.075) on Senior Night at the Howard McCasland Field House.

The meet was the home finale for OU's Brittney Koncak-Schumann and Lori Winn.

“I thought our seniors did an excellent job of leading the team tonight,” said OU head coach K.J. Kindler.  “Senior Night can be very emotional and it can be easy to lose your focus and I thought they did the best job they've done all year of leading the team.  Obviously, with their performances, they always wow me and tonight was no different.”

Koncak-Schumann and junior Kiara Redmond shared the all-around title with matching scores of 39.550.  Sophomore Haley DeProspero was third with a season-high 39.350 total, while Winn was fourth with a 38.900.

Final Scores

The Sooners swept top honors on each team and individual event and recorded team season highs on vault (49.350) and floor exercise (49.375) and tied their season best with a 49.325 on the balance beam.

In addition to their tie atop the all-around standings, Koncak-Schumann and Redmond also split the vault (9.9) and bars (9.875) crowns.  Koncak-Schumann also shared the event title on beam with DeProspero and Winn with a trio of 9.875s.

Redmond also took first on the floor exercise, tying her career high with a 9.925.

Winn turned in a sparkling performance in her last action at the Field House.  In addition to her beam title, the Oklahoma City native set a career high with a 9.85 on vault and tied for third on bars with the Panthers' Andrea Arlotta (9.8).

Freshman Hollie Vise also scored a career-best 9.85 to tie Redmond for third on beam.

The Sooners travel to Columbia, Mo., for the 2007 Big 12 Championships on Saturday, March 31.  Oklahoma owns six conference titles, including one Big 12 championship won in 2004.  The 2007 OU squad was the first in school history to sweep the other three Big 12 schools in regular season competition.

“Tonight's performance was exactly what we needed,” Kindler said. “That's really where I've felt we've been the last two weeks, potential-wise, and we just hadn't hit it.  Obviously, going into Big 12s, to hit a meet like that, it's phenomenal.  In particular to hit a beam set like we did.  We're going to be anchoring on beam and starting on floor next week and that's a rotation we're used to.  We've ended on beam every away meet, so hitting six-for-six on beam was huge for us tonight.”
