2K Sports College Hoops Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer

• OU was 30-of-50 (.600) from the field and 13-of-23 (.565) from behind the arc. The Sooners' 13 3-point-makes were the most since hitting 13 against Colorado on Feb. 25, 2004. Their .600 field goal percentage was their best since shooting .661 against Baylor on Feb. 26, 2005.

• Led by Tony Crocker's three 3-point makes in the first 5:07 of the first half, the Sooners hit 6-of-10 (.600) shots from behind the arc in the opening stanza.

• Leading 15-14 with 11:52 left in the first half, the Sooners scored 16 straight points after head coach Jeff Capel went to the bench with four substitutions (Tony Neysmith, David Godbold, Keith Clark and Omar Leary all entering). Oklahoma went lead 31-14 with 6:25 remaining and closed the opening half on a 26-12 run.

• With his 12 points in tonight's contest, Taylor Griffin scored in double figures in back-to-back games for just the second time of his career and first since his freshman season. (Griffin scored 13 against San Francisco on Thursday). The junior forward also dished out a game-high four assists, all in the first half.

• The Oklahoma bench outscored the Denver reserves 35 to 14. Though two games of the 2K2 College Hoops Classic, OU leads opponents in bench scoring, 52 to 22.

• The Sooners scored 32 points off of 19 Denver turnovers. OU scored 21 points off of 11 first-half turnovers by the Pioneers.

• Denver freshman Rob Lewis scored only five points tonight after netting 19 points in last night's contest.

• The Pioneers were limited to 15 field goals on 33 attempts (.455). Denver's 33 shot attempts were 10 fewer than its 2006-07 season low of 43 against Western Kentucky on Jan 1.

• Blake Griffin scored 15 points on 6-of-8 (.750) shooting. Through two collegiate contests, the freshman from Oklahoma City has scored 33 points on 13-of-17 (.765) shooting.

• Omar Leary added 14 points, highlighted by 4-of-6 3-point makes.

• Oklahoma has won 100 of its last 111 games inside the Lloyd Noble Center and 55 of the last 56 non-conference match-ups in the building.

• The Sooners travel to New York City and will play Memphis on either Nov. 15 in Madison Square Garden in championship-round action. They play host to Alcorn State on Monday before leaving for New York.
