OKLAHOMA HEAD COACH SHERRI COALE
On tonight's game:
"I thought the team used their athleticism well.  They did some good things with technique and rotation.  Overall, I think our attention to detail was really good.

"We had some nice interior passing and you expect that from Courtney and Ashley, they've been playing together for so long.  It went all the way down (the roster).  Those guys that haven't been together a lot really shared the ball.  I think our young guys made some excellent decisions in transition and that's what we're looking for."

On the depth and athletic ability of the team:
"It gives us some flexibility and the opportunity to keep people fresh, which is huge when you're trying to play at that pace and trying to get up in the passing lanes get up the pressure passing the ball.  We have some interchangeable parts there.  I like being able to play Jenny and Danielle and keep those guys fresh.  I feel the same way about Courtney and Ashley.  There's been a lot of different matchups we've been able to put on the floor."

On the freshman's poise in the exhibition games:
"They're very confident.  That's my favorite thing about this group is they have some swagger to them.  It's just there; it's not a false sense of confidence.  They come from great high school teams and they're players who have won a lot of games.  They work very hard every season to get themselves in a position to where they can contribute, which they're doing very well."

On what needs to happen against Maryland:
"Rebound.  Maryland is crazy athletic and there's not any way for us to create that either through exhibition games or scout teams. It's just hard to find athletes of that size, with that explosiveness and quickness.  So, keeping them off the glass is huge.  They're great rebounders and also they have a very big guard and their point guard is outstanding.  It's a tough match up for anybody."

OKLAHOMA JUNIOR CENTER COURTNEY PARIS
On tonight's game:
"I think in our last exhibition game we started off a little bit shaky. You could see the nervousness and the excitement. Tonight was a lot cleaner and nothing unnecessary. All the things and everyone sharing the ball -- it was really clean."

On better competition:
"It is a lot better for me when I am not out there guarding a 5-foot-10, 3-point shooting center. I think that is was you get excited about, is to play great teams and we're excited about how our schedule was set up.  Now it's time to go out and have fun and see what we can do."

OKLAHOMA FRESHMAN GUARD JENNY VINING
On her own expectations:

"I just want to treat the step up in competition like any other game.  I think we are just going to go out there and play like we know how we are capable.  The competition is going to be great and I'm excited."

On her comfort level during the game:
"The way I look at it is, if you come into a game nervous and worried about messing up, then you are just going to mess up more.   I just try to come into every game the same way, shoot the ball the same way, and the ball bounces the same way.  I shot the ball in this game just like I did in high school.  You can't worry about the fact that this is college; just play like you know how."

On if the season thus far is what she expected:
"It has been a wonderful experience so far, both on and off the court.  You learn so much from your teammates and it's nice to have teammates all around you that can play. No matter who you pass it to, you're going to get a good result. Whereas, in high school you may not get that."

On if coach has told her to just shoot whenever she wants:
"She has told me to just make smart shots.  My shot is not anything other than smart though."

On if she likes playing so much early in her career:
"Yes, I like that very much. I came here to play basketball, and the sooner the better.  So yeah, that is a great thing.  I think in the long run its going to make us better players."
