NORMAN, Okla. -- The OU soccer team (5-5-2 overall, 1-3-0 Big 12) seeks its first Big 12 road win of the season when it travels to No. 12 Missouri (9-2, 3-0) on Friday, Oct. 12 and Kansas (3-8-2, 1-1-1) on Sunday, Oct. 14.

The Sooners and Tigers are slated for a 6:30 p.m. start time at Audrey J. Walton Complex on Friday. OU and Kansas will tangle on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex.

SCOUTING MISSOURI
Winners of their last five games, the Tigers enter Friday's contest with the Sooners leading the Big 12 with a 3-0 mark in league play. Last weekend, Missouri, ranked No. 12 this week in the coaches' poll (NSCAA/adidas) and as high as No. 5 by Soccer America, topped Baylor, 4-2, and Texas Tech, 2-0, on the road. Missouri is a perfect 5-0 this season at home.

The Tigers are outscoring their opponents, 35-14, and are led sophomore Kristin Andrighetto. The midfielder ranks second in the Big 12 in goals scored (9) and points (24).

Missouri returns 12 letterwinners and 9 starters from a 2006 squad that finished 10-9 overall and 10th in the Big 12 with a 2-8 mark. The Tigers were picked to finish eighth in 2007 by the league's coaches in the preseason poll.

The Tigers lead the all-time series with the Sooners, 5-4-2. Each of the last four meetings in the series have been decided by one goal (three OTs) with OU winning the 2006 game in Norman, 3-2. The two tied in 2005, 1-1, in Columbia.

SCOUTING KANSAS
After starting the season at 0-5-1, the Jayhawks have rebounded to post a 3-3-1 mark in their last seven games. Kansas earned its first Big 12 win last weekend at Texas Tech, 4-1, and also won a non-conference game at Drake, 2-1.

Kansas is being outscored by its opponents, 23-12, this season. Sophomore forward Kim Boyer and senior midfielder Nicole Cauzillo lead KU's offense with three goals each.

The Jayhawks return 17 letterwinners and 9 starters from last year's team that finished fourth in the Big 12 with a 11-7-1 overall record and a 6-4 mark in conference play. In the preseason, KU was picked to finish fifth in the conference.

Kansas holds an 8-3 advantage in the series with Oklahoma and has won the last five meetings. The Jayhawks came to Norman last season and escaped with a 1-0 win and in 2005, KU topped OU, 3-0, in Lawrence.
