NORMAN, Okla. -- Freshman Dominique Franks figures to add to his championship experience at Oklahoma.
The 5-11, 183-pound defensive back helped high school powerhouse Tulsa Union to two 6A state titles.
As a senior, Franks snagged seven interceptions and returned three for touchdowns for the Redskins. He punched in five rushing touchdowns for the offense and rounded out his trifecta with three kick return touchdowns on special teams.
The Tulsa World named Franks first-team All-State and its Oklahoma Player of the Year. He earned All-America honors from SuperPrep and PrepStar.

Incidentally, Tulsa Union opens its 2006 season by hosting the No. 1-ranked high school in the nation, Hoover, Ala., on Friday, Sept. 1. Although Union isn't ranked in the USA Today preseason poll, archrival Jenks checks in at No. 24. Freshman Chase Beeler and senior Jason Carter represent the Trojans on OU's roster.
